Probably not. Luma should just work with a new update because it dynamically searches for the addresses to patch. Occasionally there might be an update that breaks Luma but in that case you just have to wait a couple days for a Luma update and update the file on SD.I just finished, and updated to the latest version. everything works perfectly. if nintendo releases a new version tomorrow, will the hack be in trouble? i'm asking because my niece is like 12, she won't know about all of this, and the 2DS is a gift for her
