Hey all.
I recently had to format and do a fresh install for everything on my 2DS due to 400gb micro sd card getting corrupted. Installed latest version of Luma and all the basic homebrew apps. After installing the latest retroarch for PSX, Picodrive & PC Engine I did the online updater for everything and all was well.
Fast forward to today and I tried installing an MSX core, then booted it up and did the online updater to make sure the core had all the up to date files needed etc. Needless to say now when I boot up PSX core app or PC Engine CD app etc it tries to re-install the cores, eventually gets an error and says to press Start and I can play my roms as usual but every time now when I go to boot a game I get that error and have to press start. Keeps trying to re-install cores that are already there & working fine. Not really a big deal it's just an extra unneeded step now to boot a game.
I looked online for a fix and one I saw said go into the retroarch cores folder and delete the core that's trying to keep re-installing cia file, well I did exactly that for just the PSX core cia file to see if that was the issue and when trying it the PSX core it was gone so that definitely wasn't a fix and I had to re-install the PSX core again. Not sure if anyone knows of a fix but if not it's not a huge issue I mean the core still works but like I said before, it's just an extra step to wait for the error message then pressing start to play a game every time.
Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully help me fix my issue. Since I've had retroarch on my 2ds there always seems to be some issue going on. Very finicky app for sure.
