YOU'RE ALREADY BANNED, WHO CARES IF YOU GET BANNED AGAIN?
I have a private PFCS that I gave to 5 competent ppl. It's been over a month now and i'm not banned.

I wouldn't want to change PFCS's because some idiot left some settings wrong and they got banned, (Also nintendo probably searches for public seeds and bans them.)

So, this morning i woke up to a new banwave after a maintenance. There seems to be a patter but i'd like to narrow it down.

As always, there's a lot of questions to make but i want to focus on only one: Wich LocalFriendCodeSeed_B file were you using?

As you may know, the unban method for a console ban involves injecting the LocalFriendCodeSeed file from an unbanned 3DS, for that you can take the seed from an unbanned console of your property (or a friend's) or use a seed published online.

Now, let's use a poll to find out. Banned or not, please vote and let's see how it goes. If you were using a public seed, please tell us were did you get it.

As for me, i'm still unbanned and using a private seed.
I have avoided both bans and i am still using my own seed

I share a seed with a friend that got banned in the SuMo wave, we both go online and play together semi-regularly. Neither of us are banned (AFAIK, I don't think it's possible for him to be banned and me not)

This as all ban waves before, polling is nonsense. No one can show they were ever banned, using just cfw and backups.

Focus on that and your gratitude for that. But, You got greedy and went to far with what patches allowed.

Most devs have multiple branded consoles with cfw from previous generations all working soundly still today online.

Your a lier and a thief, we all are by default, don't cheat, them or me, ok....

You got banned for having visible modified files online so modified them to someone else's and got banned again, then get confused..... i must be a dead set fucking idiot, right.......

dude what?

bwahahahahahaha!
a banwave again?

Like the last Banwave: I'M STILL NOT BANNED!

But why?
- B9S 1.2 on Firmware 11.5 (recent Luma3DS Version)
- Playing Romhacks (not online, obviously)
- Playing online a lot (Smash, Mario Kart)
- Used Freeshop
- Have pirated games (only a few, the most are dumps of my cartridges)
- Installed Homebrews
- Installed a custom Game I made + made it as my favourite game in Friendlist
- Custom Version String in System Settings
- Not cheating online

Well, it's a banwave, in a way, since it attacked the most used public seeds, isn it?
well, that's the thing, when you visit the site and you see a thread making reference of a new banwave, the first thing that comes through your mind is that there is a new widespread banwave happening like the one 2 months ago, then you realize the only ones that were affected are people using public localfriendseeds posted online, so it is possible Nintendo only banned like a dozen public seeds, and we're calling it a banwave and making a big fuzz about it.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
