When you say ban, Is it a console ban or an account ban?

We don't know yet, as nobody got ban.

If anyone want to try it, I posted some links to compatible payload in the PS3 stickied FAQ topic.

Anyway, I wouldn't see any harm in accessing the PSN with a pirated game copy (just let people do what they want), if it wasn't for the homebrew allowing you to edit your trophies.
Now a lot of people will have all their trophies 100% fake.
It's like Online Action Replay, everyone hate them !

I think they are working on blocking the access first (quicker too do, and it will secure their network for later hacks).

I just tried to register an account using the console menu, but I didn't accept their online agreement.

It's full of privacy crap, they ask for our real names (so every hackers names+IP+MAC are known by sony now [IMG]), and they sell all our personal informations to external parties and are no responsible of what they are doing with it.
I guess I'm ok staying without online games.

    PS :
Using the PL3 hex + 3.50 spoof, it's checking for firmware update on the Japanese server, they are all identical so there's no problem if you update accidentally.
I don't know about the used psn server, I guess it's a non regional server (0x82).

^ thats why we have alias's

when i signed up to PSN i made all my crap up

when i buy from their store i use the PSN cards - just to save my privacy from sharing CC numbers and address, at least its much more easier doing this on PSN than XBL for example ...

dnt miss out on the fun ! reconsider.

Oh, I didn't know there were PSN prepaid cards.
    Thanks for the info.

For the moment, I don't have any use of the PSN, I only own 1 game with online capability (wipe out hd fury).
And trophies are more for my own progress.
I don't know what else PSN can provide (for downloading playable demos that would be too long, I have a crappy connection).
