PS5 disc edition buying help, which model to buy for homebrew

i Plan to buy a PS5 disc edition in UK.
want your advice what to check before buying so it can play home brew.
i own a ps3 and few games, can these be run on PS5.
Which is better option the disc one or the digital one.
please advice.

Ideally you want a 4.03 or below PS5, but current one you get manufacturer are going to be on higher firmware, as for PS3 games you can't run them on the PS5, it is only backward compatible with PS4 games.

and good luck finding a 4.05 ofw ps5 if you thought scalping was bad on updated units i can imagine on exploitable it's atleast twice that

Set up Google chrome with a refresher extension. Get on eBay. Sort buy it now, newly listed, I have a machine I run just for this 24/7, you’ll have competition as these units usually sell almost immediately but there is usually a 1-2 minute window, set up a fast payment method to help. This is getting harder and harder as time goes on but still works.
