i got it for 25£ so its no big loss, but it works fine, except the COOLER. right when i turn it on even if i do nothing it steps to max boeing take-off levels of sound, within roughly a minute it goes from min. fan speed to MAX.

I had taken it apart, repasted the motherboard and CPU cause i thought blacksmiths at cash converters forgot paste or something(it had a sticker from cash converters - its a UK used crap re-sellers.) It has a 3.60FW installed, was hoping to CFW it but ill have to wait for later version of CFW. It is just sitting collecting dust now as i got a ps3 that is working fine.

Any fixes come to mind to you guys, as i am not that well educated in ps3 issues and don't got any experience fiddling with them. Could it need something grounded on the motherboard, as it had some screws missing inside as well?

appreciate any help, thx.
