PS2 GTA SAN ANDREAS loads really fast but after that just black.

So i have a ps2 slim editon, and i bought sa. I wanted to play it but, i skip the comic strips. Then it loads really fast, it takes only like 20 seconds. After that just Black. Every other game works but not SA. Does anybody have an idea? because, i cleaned the disc, The disk is really really shiny. I also cleaned the laser. Can anyone help me please?

Odd question is the game disk a blue coloured disk by chance? If so i recall hearing years ago that some PS2 could not play blue discs or had some trouble with them. Another factor might be that your disc is in really abd condition? or is very rare cases is really sensitive and just a few scraps will kill the whole disk (happend to me a few times in the past)

Just play it via Open PS2 Loader, GTA San Andreas runs flawlessly and without lags even on a cheap 8 GB USB stick, you can even preserve your PS2 lens and game disc using that method
