Highly misleading since it only gives you limited PSP homebrew support and requires you to have a game that doesn't even work in the US and that you can't get anymore.

EDIT: So, it does seem that there is some useful stuff you could run with this (emulators, doom, etc), but it still requires a game you can't get that may or may not run on a US vita. So, it's stil not vey useful to most people, but I'll admit it's no longer highly misleading like the 3DS "homebrew" topic is.

HBL never had full compatibility with homebrew.

Now that is misleading, although it's not your fault as that source article told you this and it's wrong. Given that a US Vita can easily use an EU SEN/PSN account to purchase games, Motorstorm could easily be used on a US Vita. Plus homebrew never implies anything major...

Well, Wololo's site has officially crashed and burned, meaning the files are probably out and in the wild now.

(edit) Probably directly linked to engadget linking directly to his small site.... may not even have been released, probably just overloaded early because of it.

as Sony pulls Motorstorm from PSN

and the removed from the Download list
so, there NO way to d/l the game even if you bought it

The US version would still be slightly useful for PSP users who've already downloaded it... but as you point out, worthless for PSV users.

There will be more exploitable games found given the *interest vhbl is receiving.
The trick, however, is to act quickly enough once one is discovered.


It's funny to notice how many people think this is a full Vita hack.

Yeah it runs emulators, SNES, GBS, Mega Drive, N64, etc

HBL traditionally works off of exploiting games and demos, it's only recently that it was signed to not.

Wow, is that for real? Sony was just waiting to be sued weren't they? I mean what the hell? Tat's basically stealing if you look at it. Anyway this hack is stupendously pointless, and should never have been released. Wololo should have waited until he found another way to hack the vita. Because what he did was pretty stupid. He knew it would be patched soon, and whats the point of getting this hack, because all it can do is run limited homebrew you can play on the psp. If you really wanted to play the homebrew that badly you should have just used your psp to play much more homebrew than you could on a vita. I'm a huge sony whore, pirate, hacker, but this hack was just a waste of time to release, since no one probably didn't even have time to download the game before Sony came around, and removed the game. Any way off that topic I would just like to say that I think the vita is smexy, and people shouldn't feel rushed to release a hack. Cus if you read wololo's blog he looked like he was being really rushed. So in the end people should just stfu, and let the hackers do their work.

Wololo could have trolled Sony so bad. All he had to say was X game has the exploit, sales would go up because people buy them in advance, then it gets taken down from PSN. Sure, everyone might not be too happy about it, but it would have been funny nonetheless.

It was a nice try but you might as well just get a cheap PSP Go ($90.00 USD at gamestop) for that stuff.
