Profiles: Something is missing from before

Dear Staffers,

Since the forum upgrades, these profile comments have disappeared, and there's no way to see them or re-enable them. I know that the status updates are sort of meant to deal with this, but I still believe that we should be able to write on each others profiles directly, just like we could before. I'm just asking if it is possible, and if yes, could you please consider it? I'm hoping I'm not the only person who noticed this.

You said it yourself, status updates replace profile comments

Leave a message on your own profile and it'll be a "status update".
Leave a message on someone else's profile and it'll be a message to them.

I thought you could leave a comment by going to the person's Profile Feed now?

What if the person doesn't do status updates?
And FTR, status update comments are less "permanent" than a profile comment

No they aren't, go on profile feed and you've got them.

EDIT: And this way is clearly more better, you don't have to go onto other profiles if you want to stalk these messages or just reply to the message directly, like Facebook Wall.

Can't say I agree with your pejorative term there for developmentally challenged, but I respect the staffs opinions on my suggestions. Sorry if I struck a nerve.

No they aren't, go on profile feed and you've got them.

EDIT: And this way is clearly more better, you don't have to go onto other profiles if you want to stalk these messages or just reply to the message directly, like Facebook Wall.

I suppose I can attribute this request to the old ways of the Temp. I just really liked just being able to click the profile once to see the comments.

If no one agrees here, then I'll gladly accept it and ask for a thread lock.
