Just one more question if you don't mind kedest.
Let's say i install PreLoader, then set the autoboot option to "Systemmenu", it will then load the SM everytime i power on.
But if by any odd i came to brick my wii, can i restore it by :
- powering it off then on.
- hold reset to boot into the Preloader.
- change autoboot to "Homebrew Channel" and then restore my SystemMenu with either ARC or WadManager (+ SM.wads)?

Any Title Deleter is a good one to have in case of a banner-brick. You'll get out of most things though by being able to launch straight into HBC from Preloader...

Thanx i forgot about that, lol, so i dont really need anything installed to nand then.

What about the hacks.ini? i really want the shutdown/standby hack but do not know the details to add to my now working .28 hacks.ini.

Thanx again
The standby/shutdown thing is not a hack - it's a setting in Preloader.28 (if you mean the thing that lets you ignore the Wiiconnect24 system setting...).
As for a working hacks.ini - there's a thread on here somewhere about an application that generates .28 compatible hacks.ini files. I've used it - it's really good. Have a search...

Yes. You don't even need to change the autoboot. In the preloader menu, you can also directly start HBC.
If it's a banner brick (caused by a bad wad), you can then start wad manager (or anytitledeleter) to remove that specific wad.

Here are my working hacks.ini patches (although some of them don't really work

ether, you should get around to updating your hacks.ini to the new .28 format... you know, multiple offsets/values under one hack heading... The hack creator app handles that for you. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I can confirm earlier reports that 0.28 seems to break "Move Disc Channel" hack on my NTSC 3.2U Wiikey system (it worked with 0.27).

After you create the hack with hack creator. And remove the old style hacks with Hack Remover.
How do you install the new hacks?

As far as I know, you just delete the old hacks.ini off your SD card after using the Hacks Remover and replace it with the newer hacks.ini file you made. Then go into preloader and go to the hacks to turn them on.

Edit: @ Don Killah - Oh yeah, and thanks for the link to the hacks.ini creator! This is exactly what I've been looking for.

Anyone on 0.28 and NTSC have a working Move Disc Channel hack? I just tried Hack Remover to re-Enable everything again, and it still doesn't work - so I don't know.

CODE[Move Disc Channel]
version=289
offset=0x813A7D88
value=0x60000000

Works for me.

Interesting... You are on NTSC-U in Brazil? Sounds like there are enough of us with "broken" Move Disc Channel hacks that it isn't just me - and I have the same exact code as that. Not like it is that important, but I would like to know how to fix it.

If you really want to move the disc channel that badly, there's another way: use Gecko OS. Use the rebooter to go back to the system menu, grab the disc channel with A+B et voila!
