Downgraded SysNand 10.6 > 9.2, using the new method.

Unlinked EmuNand and updated it to 10.6, SysNand is still 9.2.

When I ran SysCheck on SysNand I got the following:

Title ID 0x0004009b00010602
Expected version 0x0002
Installed version 0x0400
Title ID 0x0004003000009e02
Extra title
Title ID 0x0004013000001b02
Expected version 0x0800
Installed version 0x0c01
Title ID 0x0004013000001a02
Expected version 0x1400
Installed version 0x1801

From what I can tell the Extra title is just some Amiibo stuff but I don't know about the rest.

Any idea what the others are - should I try to fix them? Is EmuNand ok since I updated it back to 10.6?

I want to do the arm9loaderhax, but I'm afraid to go any further if this might cause a problem.
Thanks

UPDATE: The last 3 Titles, including the missing Amiibo Title are listed here as useless? Still not sure what they are. The first one I still can't find any info on.

#define USELESS92AMOUNT (12) u64 uselessTitlesFor92[USELESS92AMOUNT] = { // Latest update: 10.3

Dude, I have the EXACT same titles mis-matching. I'm not sure if these are necessary to be downgraded. From the first page of this thread it would seem that:
0004013000001b02
0004013000001a02
is part of the important to downgrade list.

0004003000009e02 - can be deleted in 9.2.

0004009b00010602 - from yls8's reports this is "Non-Nintendo TLS Root-CA Certificates CFA" not sure if we need to downgrade this or not.

Anyone know whether or not these will effect anything?

Did you also downgrade from 10.6? Not sure if it has anything to do with the new SysUpdater or coming from 10.6, just curious.

Yep also 10.6

Have you setup your EmuNand and CFW yet? I've already unlinked SysNand and I'm running CakesFW, everything seems solid. I could never get the latest ReiNand to get past black screen. Not sure if it's just a coincidence or related somehow?

I mean was this even 100% confirmed to be cause of any issues? There's no mention in many guides including the current OTP guide - In my experience I've had the tiles mismatch when using the checker but have never experienced issues across my own or several friends systems I've downgraded, most of which are now running A9LH updated sysnand's anyway. Edging on the side of caution is always good with this sort of thing, but I dunno, unless you've got more than the ones mentioned in the OP different I don't think there's much that can go wrong as a result.

Downgraded Jap N3DS from 10.6 to 9.1, emunand all set up and updated to 10.6, then unlinked sysnand from emunand using tinyformat; everything seemed to be running smoothly on both sys/emunand, but tried running downgrade_checker 2.0 on sysnand and got the following:

[MISMATCHED VERSIONS]

TitleID Vers: Expected Installed Description

0004009b00010602 00002 01024 Non-Nintendo TLS Root-CA Certificates CFA
0004001000020700 02055 02064 Mii Maker
0004001000020500 03089 03104 Nintendo 3DS Sound application
0004001000020200 02051 02080 Activity Log
0004013000001b02 02048 03073 GPIO system-module
0004013000001a02 05120 06145 DSP system-module

[EXTRA TITLES]

TitleID Vers. Description

0004003000009502 01031 amiibo Settings

[MISSING TITLES]

TitleID Vers. Description

Should I get the cias for Mii Maker/Nintendo 3DS Sound application/Activity Log from the O3DS 9.2 update and reupdate using sysupdater even though everything seems to be running fine as is right now? Kind of afraid of bricking if I do...Thx for any help!

Not yet. I will soon, but I'm thinking about just downgrading the files that were wrong. Does anyone know if we should and if we can just delete all the CIA's in the updates folder except the ones we need to downgrade? Thanks

Yes, this seems to be how you downgrade select titles, only have the titles you wish to downgrade in the updates folder.
I just followed this procedure myself as I also had 0004013000001b02 & 0004013000001a02 mismatching, and it seems to have resolved these titles.

How do we know which titles are the right ones though? I originally got mine from the same site everyone mentions but apparently those weren't right.

UPDATE: I just compared a fresh copy of the file on that site to the one I used and the MD5s match.

Another thought.. could downgrade_check be wrong?

I'm somehow don't think that's the case, but did your cfw work? I haven't proceeded to install cfw so I'm not sure if it works or not.

Hmmm I did that and it installed nothing...

The latest ReiNand just black screens on boot. I'm using CakesFW instead and everything seems to be fine. Bootrate isn't the greatest, but that's to be expected.. until I get arm9loaderhax setup.

I was able to use FBI to install the correct CIAs for these on my 9.2 EmuNAND, now I have proper 9.2
0004009b00010402 04098 05122 N/A
0004001b00010802 00000 01024 N/A
0004013000001b02 02048 03073 GPIO system-module
0004013000001a02 05120 06145 DSP system-module
-------------------------------------------------------
also, I changed the descriptions for these in my log file(not the program); these were listed under [EXTRA TITLES]
00048000544f4f42 02048 TWL Slot-1 Launcher
000400000ff40a02 00032 SaveDataFiler
000400000ff40002 00032 DevMenu

these 3 are not documented, the DevMenu and SaveDataFiler are the NAND mod versions.

arm9loaderhax is great. I've already done two N3DS's using Plailect's guide. I would go for it ;-)

I used @Plailect guide to downgrade from New 3DS 10.6 to 9.2 (took a few tries until it fully downgraded)
Then I used the checker by svanhulen (@moghedien ?) and got this:

Title ID 0x0004009b00010602
Expected version 0x0002
Installed version 0x0400
Title ID 0x000400300000b902
Extra title
Title ID 0x
0004013000001b02
Expected version 0x0800
Installed version 0x0c01
Title ID 0x
0004013000001a02
Expected version 0x1400
Installed version 0x1801

Those files exist ONLY in the old 3DS, I tried to use Plailect downgrader only for the missing files and not sysupdater.
The downgrader didn't agree with me so I stoped.

Plailect isn't mentioning anything about it (neither did he say to use the cheker) just to wait for his downgrader to finish (and it did)
So now my question is it really neccesary to add those updates to N3DS, Can it harm it in anyway?

P.S: I know that here it says to use sysupdater but just seems strange the guide say nothing of it so want to double check before I proceed

If they exist only with o3ds why would you inject into n3ds... think about that for a moment.

The guide don't mention it because during the downgrade process one of two things happen. Either it completed or it failed. If it fails you would get a Nintendo error code and restart the process.

First and foremost, there are a total of FIVE titles that you will need to check for after completing a downgrade to 9.2.

The following four titles will need to be downgraded if they have a version higher than what is listed. If any of these four titles need to be downgraded, you can acquire them from an O3DS 9.2 update/downgrade package for your region. Use sysupdater to install them.
Title ID | Version | Product Code | Service Name
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0004013000001A02 | 0x1400 | 0430builder | DSP system-module
0004013000001B02 | 0x800 | 0328builder | GPIO system-module[/CODE]

You will also find ONE of the following titles installed. These are region specific, so you will only find the title for your region (or you SHOULD only find that one anyways). This title is not normally present on 9.2 systems as it was first installed with the 9.3 update. You can safely delete it using FBI if you wish. However you may also simply leave it alone since nothing will call or reference it on a 9.2 system. If you are comfortable deleting titles from your NAND with FBI, feel free to delete it. If you are uncomfortable doing so, simply leave it be and no harm will come of doing so.

Simply becuse I'm not sure if to ignore\downgrade or delete them

I know most most likely evrything is fine and I can just go on with the guide, but I know if I wait I'll get a 100% answer and I rather be sure then have even a 1% chanch for a brick

Ignore it. There is a chance of brick regardless, its software / hardware.... if it wants to brick it will, there is no way to avoid it. Shit just happens.

If I won't get an answer about the best way to proceed I'll do just that, the only reason I didn't alredy is because I saw this delete/downgrade thread here here and the checker alerting me to it for some reason.

If deleting or downgrading lower chanch of brick I will do that, For now I wait till I run out of patience or a definitive answer.

I do think you are right though(and I'm just a scardy cat) and thanks for fast replay :)

If it makes you feel any better look at how little people are bitching about it. Nobody is checking and nobody is having issues. If it was an actual issue the guide would cover it.

I would also like to hear what @Plailect has to say about this.
Yeah the consoles seem to work just fine w/o taking care of this ... but a clean system should be in everyones interest.
