Hi all.
So there's an insanely selfish reason why I can't be bothered to keep on playing the game, the controls on horseback are basically worse. Even though it was claimed it would be better.
Well, also because I beat TP on GCN 100% a month before HD was announced, lol.
But anyway, in case you think I'm exaggerating, here's a comparison of the same inputs of GameCube vs Wii U
In the GCN version, since you're holding up to make Epona go forward, you naturally tilt the stick left or right to turn and you can make the small turns like that. What the Wii U changed was that if you try to turn while holding up, Epona does not respond. She only turns if you do move the stick directly left or right, which doesn't make sense as the way to keep momentum is holding forward. So you either slow down or have to fight with the controls.
So, I haven't done so yet, but I'm gonna dump TP HD and look around the files to see if there's a way to change the controls back to how the GameCube version worked. I've seen people do the same with Smash 4 to make it more Melee, and was wondering if that practice could be done. I'll admit I have no experience doing this file modification so I wouldn't know where to look.
Also, was the swimming controls worse or better? I didn't get to that part.
But right now I'm installing a new A/C at home. No more dust buildup and lack of cooling!
