ROM Hack Pokemon Platinum: Enhanced Edition

i have renamed everything yes. but i am not used to standard xdelta patching and i forgot what to do since i didn't remembered how to do it and i got alot of things on my mind =/
so i'm all stressed out. can somebody PM me or tell me what to do ?
i would be glad if someone did.

well i have read the readme only to know i have a risk with XdeltaUI.
so in other words i got the same results when i started with sorry

My suggestion for you..
don't use xdeltaUI. It'll confuse you more.

I'll try to help.
In a single folder, have this:
1.) Pokemon Platinum (U) ROM (must be clean and untrimmed)
2.) xdelta.exe
3.) read+patch.bat
4.) 1.3.patch (rename the 1.3-untrimmed.patch to 1.3.patch)

That's all.
All you have to do next is to open the read+patch.bat file.

Sir Wolfsclaw, I discovered that the trimmed version already works with DSTT,
and AR codes can be used. But, you can't enter contests.

funfact is i did that and i tried the following ways.
1. press enter and let it trim error 3 filename to long
2. drag and drop. error 3 filename to long
all resulted clean.nds
and yes my platinum rom is clean and untrimmed and no its not a bad dump

Yes, you MUST use the USA rom.
And I don't think you can encounter a Pokemon you've already killed... I killed Jirachi and can't find one again ever since

well lets start from the beginning and have everything from my folder listed.
1.3-trimmed.patch, 1.3.patch (untrimmed patch), read+patch.bat, readme.txt, xdelta.exe, xdeltaUI.exe

what i am doing.
i put the rom in my folder. i left it at the name #3541 - Pokemon Platinum(U).nds
then i click read+patch.bat. i have applied two ways
1. Drag & Drop #3541 - Pokemon Platinum(U).nds
2. Press Enter
the following error applied
error 3: filename to long. create clean.nds
and thats basically everything what is contained and what i explained.
i'd really wish for a .xdelta patch as those are easier to apply then a .patch in my opinion

can you get the national dex without pekesav? i dont like cheats at all..... oh and im now 7 hours looking for a squirtle........ the repeltrick didnt workall i find is cyndaquil with the repel..........any ideas? is there a good time of day or is he always rare?

@MEGAWALK: You put these 4 items into 1 folder....

1: The Platinum ROM #3541 not #3531 which you named in your post....
2: Choose the Untrimmed patch and rename this patch to just: 1.3.patch
3: xdelta.exe
4: read + patch.bat

ok i tried that way yes i included all in 1 simple folder. i did the following 3 things
1. press enter
2. drag and drop in screen
3. drag and drop in the .bat (rom only)
now. i have no options left

i found out a idea that might solve this problem.
somebody upload his folder or a .xdelta variant of patch 1.3 so that i can patch it ?
because i have the feeling something is wrong with my xdelta.exe

look on page 24 -26 formy posts i have given a link to my xdelta there i think........but idoubt thats the problem man.

so anyway is there any other way than pokesav to get NATIONAL DEX? i dont like using cheats..... plus 8 hours now looking for a squirtle....should i give up?
