I can see why he got banned for having multiple accounts... but why is he an imposter? I thought he just had a similar name because he wanted to credit rykin for making the original patch and he felt wrong for combining that patch and Nintendo's language and taking all the credit. Am I missing something?

We have situations like these all the time, somebody posts news they heard/found somewhere else, somebody, posts patches and fixes, somebody posts something else..
This is a community, forum where people post stuff they think are worth sharing and can help others out.

Again, this is not GBAtemp vs. anybody....This is a public forum, where public content is being shared for the good of community...Community is made by people who visit other forums as well..

What does this mean? The pokemon I've caught have been shortened to 5 characters, or all wild/other trainers pokemon are 5 characters?

Not sure, just straight copy pasted from the FAQ he had.

It white screens and freezes as soon as you start it up.

Enable the cheat for flashcards and backup devices.

It doesn't seem to work for me. Followed the instructions picked the patch the clean rom of of HG (J) which is in the same folder and press patch. I have a rather fast computer but waited 2 or 3 minutes anyways no other rom.

I did the same with the 1.5 patch and that one worked and created the patched rom. For some reason this one doesn't.

It quite clearly says you will need to rename the rom due to a mistake of the patch maker.
