I DID NOT MAKE THE PATCH
THIS WAS RYKIN122, RYQIB, AND THAT OTHER GUY WHO MADE IT.

Also note: Mods I did check with a higher up before making this and got the okay to go as long as it didn't cause problems.

Now straight from the impostor himself:

1. IM NOT RYKIN OR RAQIB12 OR FRIEND WITH THEM!
2. I'VE NOT HELPED THEM MAKE POKéMON PLATINUM!
3. ALL OF THE CREDITS GO TO THEM FOR MAKING THE BASE OF THIS PATCH

Hey! You're all irritated by the freezing in the US version aren't you?
Well I've found an solution I'm making an Japanese rom which contains all of the OFFICIAL dialogs, menu's, Pokémon names etc, etc...!

Rykin came up with the idea to translate the JP rom with the official USA version's language files, and I thought: "Well that can't be to hard, I'm trying it!" Well people, the answer is here!

=============Flash Card Compatibility=============
No$GBA 2.6: Works, but freezes in-game so save a lot!
R4 SDHC: Works! There is 1 report freezing after 3 hours (with YSmenu)
R4i-Gold v.1.31b: Works!
N5: Works!
DSTT unofficial 1.17.12a: Works!
DSTT official: Don't use YSmenu on the DSTT. then it should be fine (EDIT)
R4 (1st edition): Works! (EDIT)
EZ-Flash: Works!
M3-DS Real: Works with, and without M3 Sukra!
YSmenu (Latest version): Works!
TTDSmenu: There are some reports it works, and also some that it doen't work

EDIT: Also mods I realize I was an idiot, if someone would rename the thread to, "Pokemon HGSS US -> J Translation Patch" I would love you very much.

Kind of relevant and not but does Pokesav let you rename your rival too? I hate being limited to 5 letters. It doesn't spell silver >_<

Also I've found this earlier works pretty damn good on R4.
If I could just get the name Silver in there I'd be set. >_

A: Unfortunately yes, but only if you can't change the name in the Name-Rater's house

What does this mean? The pokemon I've caught have been shortened to 5 characters, or all wild/other trainers pokemon are 5 characters?

It doesn't seem to work for me. Followed the instructions picked the patch the clean rom of of HG (J) which is in the same folder and press patch. I have a rather fast computer but waited 2 or 3 minutes anyways no other rom.

I did the same with the 1.5 patch and that one worked and created the patched rom. For some reason this one doesn't.
