It looks like they have updated the YSMenu for R4's to fix the Soul Silver AP Problem! O.o

The translation is really broken, but it seems to be legit.

Where does it say about fixing it for HGSS? Cant seem to find it

In the YSMenu thread there is an update for the 13th of March, today, which corresponds to the update that was posted in the HG/SS thread.

I think for CycloDS users, we will have to wait until sunday for them to release a patch fixing this AP issue.

Actually, CycloDS users aren't experiencing anything too severe.
We just have random freezes that aren't too often. The game is overall, very playable.

yeah, I know, i've gotten used to saving every so often, it appears it is every two hours for me, give or take a few minutes.

dates are correct

they use D/M/YYYY

instead of

M/D/YYYY

Those are only supposed to make the game load faster for the DSTT and YSMenu, that's it. It doesn't fix the AP.

It's been working fine on my AK2i, AKAIO 1.6 RC1. I just beat the third gym no freezes yet! (other than then when it froze because I dropped my DSi) Maybe I'm just lucky, I dunno.

dates are correct

they use D/M/YYYY

instead of

M/D/YYYY

Yes, we use that here in Norway too, but it says February there, but in the title it says march. Its probaly just a typing mistake

Replaced every 01410000 with 02260344 in hex editor, tried it on my R4 with latest YSMenu, still freezes.

ok, when the coding comes up, does it give you a specific point for 01410000c, or does it just say 01410000c? if it gives a specific point, that's where we need to fix.

Second theory..

When I crash with the DMA access of 8 bit

It listed 3 times :
Read below 0x8000 / / .

Now looking at the registers of the ARM9.

So my guess right now is if any of those three DMA0 go over 8 bits of information, the DMA1SAD add that 8 bit of information into it total and that causes the freeze.
