That only makes it load faster, doesn't remove the freezing!

I think you might be onto something, Souldragon. It sounds like that might be the source of our problems.

On R4 with the newest YSMenu(The one updated in the post up there somewhere).
Don't work, 24 events and it did the black screen with music playing like before.
Was on HG, someone else will have to try SS.

Second theory..

When I crash with the DMA access of 8 bit

It listed 3 times :
Read below 0x8000 / / .

Now looking at the registers of the ARM9.

So my guess right now is if any of those three DMA0 go over 8 bits of information, the DMA1SAD add that 8 bit of information into it total and that causes the freeze.

you noticed the same thing i did i tried to static or freeze the data at a common fact at that address which in hex is e5 or dec 229 yet the amount is in constant flux there must be something that will stop that address from overacting or increase its size allowing for 16/32bit data. however increasing the size is not an option as increasing the size will only create even greater errors if you watch arm9 at actions in that address range you will see there is constant change and it continually reverts back to the original ammount
