Nintendo is closing the Global Link in 2014 for Pokemon BW/2. All the functions in those games are gonna become unavailable after it's taken down. Nintendo site says that some achievements from the old Global Link are gonna be transfered to the new Global Link. The new one for X and Y are gonna be opened in October after the game launches.
