Nope. Error-=4 is a error caused by the lack of matching Game ID's. There is a guide in my signature that will explain how and what to do to fix the issue and get the game with any patch working properly on TTDSMakiManPR said:

The release number should be the first thing displayed after you enter the command. Greatly appreciated. I'll keep testing new versions of the patch when they come out and post my findings.
To be honest, I can't get the normal patches to work on either my Mac or Thinkpad (running WinXP) with any version of xDelta I've tried. I tested v1 with xDelta with 3.0u and 3.0z on my Thinkpad and 3.0u for on my Mac and they both fail with that error message (xdelta3: not a VCDiff Input: X3d_Invalid_Input).
I know its odd, but I want to try and figure out why some people are having this problem and some are not. The only thing I can think of that is causing the issue would be what OS and version of xDelta people are using. People having issues with regular patch: What OS are you using? What version of xDelta are you using?
To find out, open command prompt, go to directory were xdelta is and run the following command:

I stumbled upon this problem. When a pokemon level up and learn a new move, the text window will be full of ????????????????????. I know its still running because the bgm is still playin and the other pokemon on screen are still somewhat blinking. Then you can't press or touch anything. So the next thing to do is reset the system. In my case, I got 3 pokemon with that problem. I don't know if theres still more. Using V2 btw. Anyone having the game glitch/bug/problem?

The xDelta where you select patch and ROM didn't work, nothing happened when I pressed "patch".
I then tried another version but it didn't work either (this one - thejbnet.com/progs/xgui/?p=download).
I also tried updating my Net Framework, though I already have 4.0, the update failed for some reason, I use XP.
The last thing I tried was patching using the "> This is a simple way to patch your ROM that doesn't require xDelta GUI, download it Here! " in the "Beta v3 Download", it worked.
I'm just curious if it's the same as Black-NewStyle-English-ExpPatched.zip?
Anyway, the version I have is a really awesome translation so far but there are still some stuff that would be nice if they got translated:
* When you select a pkmn in Pokemon (duh) you will get a list; Summary, eventual HMs, Switch, Item and Cancel - this stuff (except HMs are still in japanese)
* A whole bunch of stuff in the summary of a pkmn.
* The PC
With those things translated (and maybe some more?) it would be pretty much perfect until the US-release.

They refuse to translate the story. I know the game is coming out but the game feels bare bones without the story. It can still be fun in small doses but I like to be able to immerse myself in the game.
