No, this is not another thread asking people if I should stay on my current FW or update. I've already made my decision to update (as there are games I want to play that need the eShop), but, I'd like to know if there is anything I should do first before I do so. What sort of preparations should be made? I believe I am part of the group set for the 2nd batch of the SX Pro, so it'll be a bit before I can do anything with that if that's needed for preparations. I don't even have a jig to try out RCM Mode, and I've always been hesitant with tinkering with such small connectors.

Then what are you waiting for? Update away before another software update is released in the wake of TX product launch!
You'll figure out how to hack properly later on!

So there's nothing I should do/get before updating? Not even backup my system? or do something regarding the eFuses?

Well if you would like to go back to 4.1.0 in the future (once the method has been simplified), yes do a rawNAND backup along your boots files and store it somewhere.
Once you're on 5.1 you'll need to prepare your SD card (getting sdfiles for fw 5.x) to boot Hekate and setup your homebrew environment.

That Just Stop SX to Work sadly
Wait, so updating without burning fuses will prevent SX from working? That doesn't sound good. So then, would there be a point in backing up my NAND and stuff on 4.1 if I weren't able to use it after updating with burning fuses to allow SX to work?

You can Test, but I was on 5.1 and SX not Boot. I am Sure they not have a Fuse Check Patch So wait for OS crack so we can Patch in or Update? I Just updated to 5.1 tbh... This Fake Shit Warmboot, Boots to OS, Browser, Restart to CFW. So Same as AutoRCM except you can do it without sevice. But since I have My Phone with me...
