Just wondering if my experience here is common for this game, or unique. I followed Plailect's guide to the letter on my brand new SM3DL bundle n3ds last week (10.7.0 out of box). Total success. But when I try to run Sonic & AllStars Racing Unleashed, whether obtained through freeshop or an externally obtained .cia (I even tried the Euro version), I get the same result, which is a total freeze within the first 20 seconds of any race. Launching off the aircraft carrier in particular is certain, repeatable game death. Happens whether DLC has been added or not. Video freezes and glitches, and the music plays on. 3DS can only be shutdown by the power button at this point, the home button does nothing.

Every other 'freeshop' obtained game has worked 100% so far. VC injects obtained via a popular 3ds iso site have been 90%+ working as well (and some fails there were expected). And when one of those doesn't work, it just doesn't work. With this Sonic Racing game, the game runs perfectly until the crash.

Any ideas? Is it just that this Sonic Racing game is a pile of buggy s__t? Or is this an indicator of something wrong with my cfw install? Could this be caused by a bad title key?

Yeah it may just be a bad title key! Nothing bad should happen especially when everything else went smooth!

Are you on N3DS? You need to disable the forced N3DS CPU clock speed in the Luma set up (you probably know this but hold select and turn on your 3DS, set New 3DS CPU to "Off", press start to save). It should work now when your vehicle transforms. It's the CPU speed that breaks the game, don't know why, and I don't think it's the only game that experiences issues.

The game is a bag of buggy turd on 3DS and it feels like it would have really benefited from being able to use the extra clock speed.

Thanks, I'll give this a try, if I can get un-pissed-off long enough to do it. (Also, sorry just realized I botched the title of the game - it's "Transformed," not unleashed lol.) But this is a pretty inconvenient adjustment to have to make for the sake of one game. Does look like a decent cart racer though. I've played MK7 to death, was excited to have an option.

I really enjoyed the Wii U version I have to say, right up there in terms of quality and content. The 3DS port is not good, I think. Bad textures and models, slowdown and the mechanics feel "off".
