Kioxia is a rebranded Toshiba.

Indeed.

Random question but why not hook up data + and - to the pads on the switch then hook up the reset to vol - and the power button so you could flash it after taking off the usb

Actually you need a way to reset the chip to enter uf2 mode, that is how it is on Trinket M0 that also use UF2.

Because the switch also generates a usb signal. Hooking it up like this will likely cause intereference and make the usb port useless while the switch is in use. Maybe you could also hook up the 5V from USB, there is als a testpad for that. Then you could flash the Pico while the Switch is off. I would hook up some buttons that will not be pressed at the same time while the console is in use. Otherwise is may cause some unexpected problems.

Hello, thanks for answering, I did what they told me but it didn't work, it doesn't enter OFW, it doesn't let me dump the profinfo with lockpick either, although I was able to make a backup of the nand but it's probably also damaged, I don't know what else to do, the Console was working perfectly before installing the chip, I probably damaged the OFW, I don't know how to recover it, I'm going to cry
tried a different sd card?

hello, I was finally able to boot the chip, check the soldering and that's it, but now I wanted to test OFW, check that the connection between the points and the pico fly have 47ohm resistance. I don't know what else I could check pkg1 decryption failed bek is missing
hey what fw did u flash ? i hab almost the same issue with the compressed fw2.5+ulock from @vittorio if u are also using this do me a favor and try to flash the fw2.5nw.uf2 and after that the unlock.uf2 after that everything worked fine for me

here my post about it click me

I forget what points there called but the 2 top right ones hook one to vol minus and the other to the power button on the ribbon cable

Rcm mode maybe

I'm sorry to bother you again. I'm currently working on soldering a MOSFET, but the capacitor on the mounting point came off. Is it not recommended to directly connect a wire to the pattern in this case? Do I need to buy a new capacitor?

will check all the values a bit later, here you can take the required caps for the CPU

You can leave the capacitor off and connect the leads without it. The CPU will probably still work as these capacitors are usually redundant to improve reliability. Do not just put any capacitor there without knowing the required value. The CPU will not be damaged by leaving the capacitor off.

Don’t really know a lot about modchips myself, I’ve got a local guy who probably modded more than 200 switches so far, talked with him about the picofly for a bit. Seems like a knowledgeable guy, talked about all the other stuff that I don’t understand about circutry (he works with other consoles too). He told me that it is still unkown if this is a safe choice in long run and that it was a bit more risky than the regular HWFLY chip installations. But he told me that he could install it in my v2 if I really wanted to (never installed it, my console will be his first experience with picofly). What y’all think, should I trust him with the picofly and let him install it or should I pay 100€ (chip and installation included) for the HWFLY (same guy, but for sure he is pretty darn good with hwfly, cheapest dude who mods switches too)? Is it worth taking that risk for 80 euros?

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!! <3

GOOD WORK ALL, Flashed the new fixed timing Toshiba firmware.
The XAJ glitched in a couple of seconds that did not work before!

Amazing & ecstatic! :0D
Time for some Emulation and Homebrew pr0n!!

Reset the chip - short the 2 pins near usb port

I don't think you are supposed to bridge these pads. You are only supposed to use one of them each. Look at the instruction photos.
You can bridge them they are on the same trace - bridging them also helps securing them better
