With Perth Telethon 2010 rounding up for the year it was a great surprise to learn that not only did they reach a massive 100 million dollars raised over the 43 year history of the fundraiser but they also smashed their previous record of 7.5 million dollars raised, wrapping up the night with a little over 9.2 million dollars (with the final tallies yet to be completed)
Sadly, the guest of honor this year year - John Travolta - was unable to make it due to his wife going into labour but regardless it was an amazing 26 hours and a massive success.[/p]
Here's hoping WA can smash the record yet again next year
