Perhaps I might have seen it if it not because of the pages of responses from people attempting to answer your riddle. I have no interest in participating in that, so as a consequence I have not read what the "answer" is, because I don't feel like wading through pages of people trying to guess the answer or speculating. You reap what you sow as it where. :P

The answer is the first message of the page of your comment.

So the answer is firmlaunchhax? I don't understand. I thought Pasta already does that because that's how the underlying exploit it uses to gain Arm9 control. I don't understand how that's a feature...

No, firmlaunch that will allow running upper games in ANY firmware versions (well, perhaps 8.0 might be a minima).

The answer is firmlaunch : the ability to launch an upper FIRM, to launch upper games (like Pokemon Shuffle, Xenoblade Chronicles...)

Firmware 7.0.14U

PastaCFW App Reboots after applying patches. No Dev menu. Run Cubic again, to run FBI to install Menu and receive the following error? Any ideas or options?

Install Failed!
Could not install aPP.
Raw Error:0xs8e0806a
Module AM (0x20)
Level: Permanent (0x1b)
Summary: Invalid argument (0x7)
Description: Invalid signature (0x6a)

Try to boot PastaCFW 2 times, then to use FBI. If it doesn't work, then we definitely have to fix 7.0 offset

No go thanks for the advice. I can wait for now ;)

Oh I see. I can see that useful for something like emunand. But launching newer firms means things like the eShop spoof CIA won't work anymore (because they would use exploits patched by the newer firm. A problem that Gateway currently has). I hope you have plans to deal with that...

I have options to port them to upper FIRMs, it's fine.
Of course, to install your CIA manager you will have to launch a 9.2 or less FIRM, but after that it's good to launch an upper one.

It's kinda hurting to know that you are 2 yo less than me and better in computing but I realy respect your work
and if you continue this way you will realy be a great dev^^

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
