I have a rgh 360 how good does NullDC work on the console? I want to emulate Shenmue 1, Skies of Arcadia, Carrier and a few other games. I don't have a powerful laptop so it doesn't have the speed for DC emulation.

That's what I figured. I've seen some youtube videos claiming certain games are working I'll give it a shot but I'm not expecting much. I think I read somewhere it can't save or load yet either.

The entire 360 scene is just disappointing.
Granted, FSD and Aurora are two really neat pieces of homebrew, along with Dashlaunch and 360 NAND Flasher.
Not forgetting RGLoader ofcourse.
But the emulators are spotty at best and the rest of the homebrew is just pathetic.

You're better off getting an old DC or trying your luck with a new PC ;p

I actually have a Dreamcast with a bunch of burned games I just like wireless controllers and not having to change discs just selecting games from the hdd lol.

Not a big deal though I can stick with discs for DC for now.

Iirc, Dreamshell lets you use an SD card.
Don't quote me on that but I remember seeing some form of SD loading from a dreamcast.

As for wireless controllers, yeh I do share that feeling.

yeah, nulldc on pc runs smooth, some minor graphic glitches, pretty sure the best way to play dreamcast is in a dreamcast itself with a vga cable, you can always install Dreamshell but it requires soldering in the bios chip, btw ever wondering why 360 scene sucks.

360 scene is shitty cause there's not a lot of interest for homebrew.

JTAG hack meant losing Live access.
RGH kinda saw a small rise in homebrew but the vast majority just cared about piracy and mostly of all, lucrative cheating/modding in COD games.
PS3 has more homebrew then the 360...

yes, I think all people care in 360 is piracy, I mean, there is no entry point for an exploit for example, afaik there is no interest o get kernel access to 360, what a waste of hardware.

KingKong Exploit.
Dash 4532 and 4548.
Only "software"entry point in existance.

Thing is with the 360 that it's designed to be secure from a software point of view.
Thus the only viable attacks are hardware based.

GDEMU when they are available again would help with not having to change disc. Also heard of something called the Dreamconn which is a wireless controller for sega dreamcast so that helps for wireless controllers.

yes, that is my point, who on earth are using kinkong exploit on that specific dash? a really small minority, hardmods are mostly there just to read "backups".

It fell out in favor of the JTAG hack, which got replaced by the RGH.
Thing is, the earlier on in boot you get access to the bare hardware, the better.
That's all hackers care about, running Linux early on from boot.

Pirates just complain about why they can't burn a torrent file on a disc and play it on an unmodded console.
Not only that, DVD flashing and ODDE's are the pirates choice of piracy.
Pirates still want to pay on Live, it's the cheaters and COD kiddies that want a RGH for backups.

There's interest in exploiting the 360, it's just that it has been done on 4548 and 7371 with the JTAG and after that it fell out in favor of the PS3.

I heard about that but I heard some games are kinda slow.

Also, and this will make me sound lazy if there's no wireless controller AND the ability to turn on/on the console without going to the console it's pointless to me. Because I have to get up and turn on the console I can just as easy change discs while I'm doing that. I work full time and exercise religiously, but when I'm playing video games I want to kick back and be lazy as hell lol.

For example PS2 I have a logitech wireless controller and an external 500 gb hdd AND a PS2 remote that lets me turn on/off the PS2 without getting up, perfect.

I didn't get far enough to the posts until now to see someone mention there is a wireless controller but I doubt it has the ability to turn on/off the Dreamcast. Also if it's the one I think I heard of they're like $150.

DinohScene: I am neither a cheater or a "COD kiddie" I just explained why I wanted rgh. Playing online used to be something I was big on but now I'm not I care more about single player games or just games I can play with someone else that's there with me so I don't really care about Xbox Live.

"it's the cheaters and COD kiddies that want a RGH for backups."

It sounded like you were saying cheaters and COD kiddies want a rgh for backups, because that's exactly what you said.

It seems to be the COD kiddies would want flashed consoles so they can play on Xbox Live.

You could also learn to clarify yourself better, you haven't done that even yet. Don't say something unless you can stand behind it. Otherwise you're just talking out of your ass.

You said rgh users are cheaters and COD kiddies. I am a rgh user. You've yet to explain how you weren't insulting people who have rgh'd consoles.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
