so im looking around and i no longer am up to date with the progress of wii64. is not64 still the main emulator to use? i remember some version of wii64 with rice that came out, (from fix94?) but now i also see all this

not64 https://github.com/extremscorner/not64/releases

and this https://github.com/FIX94/Wii64/releases i think this was the initial wii64 with rice?

and this https://github.com/emukidid/Wii64/releases was the rice stuff from fix's wii64 added to this?

https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/Wii64/releases is this just a mod of emukidid's wii64?

Im just trying to figure out what to use lol. I do remember that Rice fixed dk64 and some other stuff and was faster. Any help is appreciated!

only wiiu since n64 emulators on wiiu mode use different emulator code than wii vc emulators on wii/vwii

yeah emukid wii64 has all fix stuff and better the only thing is the rivevideolinux.ini is broken on emukid release so get the emukid release of both wii64 versions and get the file ricevideolinux from fix94 release, saulfabreg just compiled everything.

ah ok, thanks for that info! but what about not64, how does that compare these days, and does it support rice yet?

Wii64 has two versions when you download it now. Rice and Glide. Some games work better on rice, others glide. The glide version is based on not64 and should have identical performance. Look at the compatibility list.

I did check it out via injection and while castlevania 64 and legacy of darkness boot and run, castlevania 64 has major graphical issues and legacy of darkness runs too slow to be enjoyable.

Any plans to add HID support to this emulator like Nintendont does? I'd love to be able to use my actual N64 controller and get rumble. It's not a huge deal, Raphnet adapter works fine minus no rumble, but imo rumble really does make games like Goldeneye a lot more fun. And hey, it could even be useful for those on Wii U who want to use their gamecube controller adapter, stuff like that. There was that 8bitdo X Retrobit N64 controller a while back which is apparently recognized as Pro Controller so it may have worked on Not64. Sadly it doesn't have rumble though.

I'm aware such things are not easy, just wondering if there have been any considerations to add this. If not, it's cool. Appreciate all the work you guys put into these emulators. This combined with Wii64 and Wii U VC seems to play pretty much every big N64 game besides Body Harvest, it's awesome

Mipmapping is a little annoying to implement because the texel ratio isn't directly exposed by the TEV, while the RDP's color combiner did, and mipmapping there worked by blending two textures using that ratio.

I don't know what you mean by "draw distance calculations".
hi extrems thanks for the replay, idk what it called its the thing when objects fades in and out, for example tree palms in DK64

WOW I was just logging in to report that i had crashes on the 24/12/1014 build but i now see a new 26/12/2014 build with a hotfix is out and i read about speed gains. AWESOME work and MANY THANKS Extrems !!

BTW, since i have both Wii64 and Not64 on HBC, how can i make Not64 look into the same rom directory as Wii64 (sd:/wii64/roms) and the same savegame directory if possible too (sd:/wii64/saves/)?

I opened the /apps/Not64/meta.xml file and i edited the line

<arguments>
<!--<arg>rompath = "[sd,usb]:/path/to/file"</arg>-->
</arguments>

to

<arguments>
<!--<arg>rompath = "[sd]:/wii64/roms/"</arg>-->
</arguments>

but no dice, i must be doing something wrong on my end. Can anyone share some advice?

Curious if you ever got the rom folders to merge?

Thanks
