Gaming Not new, but new to diff region games

Ok so I've had my wii hard modded for a while now, and have softmodded to install wiiware stuff, but I have a quick question. When using a PAL game on my US NTSC wii, is wii region free still needed to patch the iso? Or is it not needed, or something different needed now to play them on wii's of other regions?

With the newer loaders, you don't have to patch the ISO.
I live in the states, and my Wii is NTSC, 2 loaders (as channels) I use are:
Neogamma R7 and
Wii-ish Force NTSC with 002 fix. (will re-boot your wii and automatically play those certain games)
And my cIOS38 rev13b.
With Neogamma R7 you can load from DVD, SD, or USB drive.
My System Menu is 3.2 and will play ALL games.......
