In your first screen, change "recover to iso" to "convert to iso" and try again

Hello XFlak,

Thanks for assisting me on this. Appreciate the help as well, ca032769. I have attempted both the "convert to iso" and "recover to iso" processes but both have failed. Dragging the file over their respective .exe files does nothing as well. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Also, since there is another person simultaneously making requests in this very large thread I started my own thread here since I think it would be more organized for getting to a solution, if that's okay.

I hacked my Wii about a decade ago and am looking to get it updated to a more current software or hack. Currently I have it on 4.2U, and I know I’ve done a lot of IOS changing around and updating in the past, so not everything is working. For instance, newer Wii titles say they need me to update to play them.

I’m just looking to be able to play these games, as well as install a couple WAD files if possible. Anything I need to do to get my software more current?

Lots of games are very small assuming you converted the .ISO to .WBFS format.

Do other games work? Or is it just that game not working?
Ok, ive got two other games in, one's over 1gb and the other's under, and both work. Any ideas why the faulty game wont load?
Thanks for the help so far, by the way. I appreciate that

Use modmii

You can run its main wizard as if your wii was never modded and it will overwrite your older mods

Or u can use modmii's syscheck updater wizard, which will analyze your syscheck for your specific wii and have you incrementally update only what's outdated

Ok, i've got another problem.
So, this time i'm using a Sandisk 8gb flashdrive. Problem is: when i load USBLOADER GX it goes to the game selection screen, but there's no buttons that i can click, just the bottom blue outline. Funny thing is i've copied the files over from the other flashdrive that works perfectly well(i've been able to play a couple games in it), but it still wont load. Btw, i only have USBLOADER in this sandisk flashdrive along with a wbfs folder, while my flashdrive that i use to play has d2x cios installer, syscheck, usbloadergx, wiimodlite, wbfs folder, and a wads folder.

Edit: I'm using this sandisk flashdrive now because the other one is full and wont fit any games on it
FINAL EDIT: I eventually figured out that the flashdrive just doesnt work well with the nintendo wii. The other one works perfectly except for one game, but that is probably the wbfs fault. Thanks for your help anyway

hey guys, just bought a wii and i can't get wi-fi to work. it finds my router and shows green bars but when i click test connection i get errors 51330/31/32, tried manual settings but got the same errors. router is like 2 meters away from the console and all other devices can easily connect. the seller said wi-fi worked for him but he stopped playing wii years ago. i updated homebrew channel to latest version (there was 1.0.2 installed) and made syscheck

Hello,

for your router problem, look here ==>https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4269/~/error-code:-51330---51332#:~:text=This error code indicates the,into the Wii Internet settings.

try to change the channel, and put 1 or 11 ==>https://en-americas-support.nintend...zbHUxJTdFZmpTSHNBbXhLZkZmMyU3RXYwem9BJTIxJTIx

Update your hack ==> using Modmii from @XFlak (or link in my signature) ==>
import your syscheck report into Modmii ==> and it will tell you what to update.

you can repost a new syscheck report, for checking if you wish.

Well those games, Name Name [ID].wbfs need to be put onto the hard drive or USB flash drive. They'll go into a sub folder called WBFS.

Your setup should look like //wbfs/Name Name [ID].wbfs and the covers will go into the covers folder in USBLOADER-GX.

Ok, ive got two other games in, one's over 1gb and the other's under, and both work. Any ideas why the faulty game wont load?
Thanks for the help so far, by the way. I appreciate that

My guess is a bad dump, did Wii Backup Manager recognize it as a valid file?

For some games you need to load a different custom base ios such as 57. I also thin @XFlak recommended fixing a couple things with your mod, did you already do that?

Again, you might need to load another base 56, 57, 58 because certain games require different bases to work. Was the non working flash drive formatted to FAT32? It needs to be if it's not. Otherwise flash drives are hit and miss, your second flash drive might not be compatable.

It doesn't need to be, but if FAT32 works with your thumb drive it's the ideal file format. Better compatibility for thumb drives if it's formatted as wbfs, but you lose a lot of the benefits of a fat32 formatted hdd.

Yes I stand corrected. I believe you mentioned that within the last couple months that flash drives with issues might benefit from being formatted in the WBFS format.

Everything modmii is suggesting is safe

No need to update to 4.3, there is no benefit over 4.1, just additional failed attempts to prevent softmodding your console. If you insist on doing this, be warned that installing a new system menu removes priiloader, and you should reinstall it immediately aftterwards

If u insist on updating to 4.3, you can grab the 4.3 system menu wad for your region from Modmii Classic's download page 1. Then install it using yawmm (also make sure you have installed the IOS80 wad from your spoiler above). Then reinstall priiloader

Edit: no need to run the d2x installer, the first 3 items in your list are d2x cios's that you will install in wad form instead of using the d2x installer app

Defalut coverflows for WiiFlow plugins:

Hey everyone. If you're reading this, thanks and stay well. I recently updated my old WiiFlow to the current version. In doing so, I lost all my modified coverflows. This isn't the issue as they were easily redone. My issue is.. I used to be able to direct a button to use a certain coverflow (in this case #3).

[BUTTON_2]
emuflow=3
hidden=no
image=NES.png
image_s=NES.png
magic=7542033
source=plugin
title=NES

Now WiiFlow ignores this. It does however start on coverflow #5 every time,

Where do I direct my button _2 to use a certain coverflow now. I can't see anywhere that it's assigned to coverflow #5, but it is somewhere lol.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Best to ask that question here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite.422685/

Also, when you repost, be more specific than saying "the current version", the current version of Wiiflow isn't the same as the current version of Wiiflow lite. I'm assuming you are referring to Wiiflow lite

You can create an emunand and install them there as opposed to your real nand (which you could still do, but if you install a bad wad to your real nand you could semi-brick, also there's limited space on your real nand)

You can set up an emunand & neek using modmii, or you can do so directly from usbloader GX's features menu, or there are other ways as well

Hello all,

So to provide some closure I am answering my own question that I posted on this thread here regarding the issues with .nkit immediately failing to convert upon trying to do anything with the program. The errors related to the "Method not found" and "System.Array.Empty" messages appear to be due to an improperly configured copy of nkit that I was using. Upon acquiring a different copy the .nkit program from another source it worked as it was supposed to and successfully converted the file. So, the age-old lesson of using only valid copies of a program shows itself again.

My thanks to ca032769, XFlak, and alexander1970 for replying. Your reward will be posted over in the thread I started regarding the same issue over here once I have uploaded it.
