I was going to make a seperate thread but thought it didn't need it...

Okay, I've done all the searching I can on this forum and on google and I still can't fix it...

I got Onslaught the other day and I'm getting #002 error. I read that I need these:
IOS38-64-v3609.wad
IOS53-64-v4113.wad
IOS55-64-v4633.wad

I got them all and installed them and I still get the error. Any ideas anyone? Any IOS's I should delete, maybe??

Thanx for ya help!
Get a backup launcher with 002 fix

Hardmod or softmod? Disc channel or loader? If you have a modchip you shouldn't get the 002 error in the disc channel when you use a VIRGIN 1:1 copy. If you use a loader, get a 002 fix version of it, look at the thread of loaders for it.

Um... there's a disc version of Onslaught? I thought it was a WiiWare game?

edit: and I was sure I read you only needed IOS55 for it. I could be wrong though.

If it's WiiWare then it's clear why it doesn't work: Pirate WiiWare is trucha signed and the new IOS don't have the trucha bug.

So what you're saying is he needs to install the cIOSCORP version of IOS55?

Not sure if this question is in the right spot but.....

Wondering if I have a 'brick' Have been running soft modded wii since december with no issues, used twilight hack, downgraded, installed starfall patches etc..

Machine is rarely turned off completely, Tv is just switched to regular input. Went to use it yesterday and it was frozen on the channels screen, no music, no control availabe. So I unplugged power and tried again, now I have nothing at all on the screen. The console itself will power on (got the green light), accept and eject a disc (got the blue lights), but just a black screen on the TV..I have checked and rechecked the hookup, tried it on another TV and tried it with a new set of AV cables. Still nothing..the remotes will not sync with the console, just get 4 flashing lights for a few seconds...

So I am wondering is this a type of brick? or just a "normal" hardware malfunction, are there any DIY repairs, it seems like all of the solutions for 'un-bricking' require at least something to appear on the screen..

I have called Nintendo and prepared to send it in for repair, just wondering how they will treat it?? They will be able to see the HBC and backup loader , and I'm sure there is some wiiware on there that is of questionable origin...does anyone have experience with a repair on a modded wii..I'm assuming worst case is they void my warranty and make me pay for repairs??

Any input would be appreciated..

Yes!! I think that's exactly what I need to do!

Confused me too when I saw the error cause it was WiiWare. I thought that (Like the #001 error) only came up for discs...

I know you can't post links so I'll google away. Thanx!!

it's in the softmii package. that shouldn't be hard to find at all. just take the cIOS55 wad out of cioscorp folder and install with wadmanager.

I want download some injected VC's does it matter what region i download?

Yes it does matter, but some of them can, or are already, region free'd

QUOTEHas anyone used the offline version of AnyRegionChanger? Is it safe? I want to convert my Jap Wii to NTSC-U but don't have an internet connection.

How is that possible...?? is there really an actual app..?? or you are just trying to know if there is an app capable of doing this...?? AFAIK you need the conection cause it downloads and install the IOS needed for the sysmenu, and the sysmenu, don't know what else does, cause if it's all then you can just install the .wad for another region and that's it, but you will need to ask crediar about this...!!!

Do you know how the offline installation of WiiGator's cIOS installer works? If AnyRegionChanger is a PatchMii clone you just need to replace 2-3 functions and the ARC works offline.

Alrighty, thanx for all your help guys!!

I realised what I was doing wrong. It was originally going back to the Wii menu so I patched it with IOS36/37 (cause it worked for other games) and that was resulting in the #002 error so I reinstalled the original Onslaught I got. I still needed the cIOS55 fix that I got from SoftMii which fixed it.

THANX HEAPS GUYS!!!

Specially, SilverSurfR.

Anytime. Pretty fun game, I only managed to play the first 2 missions. Think I spend too much time here, when I should be playing more games.

Hi, I'm going to my friend's house soon to help hack her wii and I just need some help about changing the region.

Getting the homebrew channel up and running should be no problem.

The wii is currently on 3.1J. Would the proper method be something like this:
-use cIOS downgrader to get it on 3.2J
-install starfall
-use AnyRegion changer to make it 3.2E

Thanks if anybody can help me. I haven't done this on my own wii and I don't really keep up with all this softmodding business since my wii is chipped anyway.

what does it mean in the torrent world "You get what you give"? So the more torrents I upload the faster my downloads will be?

cIOS downgrader and ARC are essentially the same thing. Can't remember if cIOS Downgrader lets you change console region and video modes as well.

HBC first (obviously), you have a NTSC-J copy or TP for her? or you going to put your chip in her system temporarily to enable out of region/backup play? (my assumption here is your TP disc is probably PAL, since you guys are going to 3.2e)

As I don't know the differences in IOSes between 3.1 and 3.2, you could run IOS Downgrader (notice lack of 'c'), this should put you on the 'latest' Trucha bug-containing IOSes.
Then ARC to 3.2e (make sure you set proper region, video mode, system menu)
Then Starfall.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
