One Big Touch Screen.
Motion Sensors built in.
Able to play Vertically or Horizontally (Ya know what I mean)
Button Layout like the Wii classic remote (except for the direction pad)
Glossy white color...

And I'm sorta with linkiboy - music and videos aren't necessary unless the screen is bigger and looks better.

Definately needs a built web browser and Wi-Fi picto chat.

The problem with adding an analog stick is it's size. You wouldn't want it sticking out of your pocket. You'd want it as flat as possible. But yeah...nothing like the PSPs.

In terms of a web browser, i have wireless hooked up now in my apt. and am using my DS more often now for web browsing when in the bedroom, etc. So having an even better browser on the next DS would be nice.

I was thinking of an analog stick that sticks out only when your DS is open.. something retractable. like a TV/phone antenna. Don't know if that's possible though..

not a bad idea.

i say keep the dual screen design, make them both widescreen and keep touch to the bottom one.

quality media support would be nice too. i am one who uses my current DS for media regularly.

it must have more ram and a more powerful processor than psp (naturally for the media, and also for homebrew applications and emulators (n64!, snes, genesis etc)

sizewise, the whole unit should be almost DS sized, but thinner and if possible (accounting for screen size increase) shave a few mm here and there.

Bigger screens, better graphics, longer lasting battery life and a thinner sexier look is all the the next gen hand held needs. Enough with this crap about it being a web browser :S I want a hand held for GAMES!!!!!!

Oh and some God damn Backwards compatibility with SNES would make my day. Let me buy games like the Wii, hell I dont care, the day I can play the greatest SNES games w/o glitches on a hand held will be great.

thinner, bigger screens, 480 x 320 LED display, 16.7 M colors, Multi - touch tochscreen, nicer audio quality, 2GB cart for games. 149$, 802.11n wifi, 10 hrs battery life

hehe dream on

I was thinking that it would be sweet if it were like this:

I like it...but make the screens widescreen, and perhaps make the top (folding) screen like a tablet where you can spin it around. Then you could fold it back down and check your song, or watch a video without the bottom screen being on/lit.

Yeah that would be better! I would like something like that very much. It would be nice to have it slide shut and the size of a wallet.

Well, i think it would end up roughly the same width and height as the PSP, but just imagine the possibilities. First thing i thought of was a homebrew app to make it usable as a cellphone.

Maybe a D-pad with hole in the center, when you want analog stick, just put the stylus in it
