I'd like to report an issue. On v234 Luigi's mansion freezes after a minute or two of gameplay. Using USB loading with Hid on. Memory card emulation is on at 59. You are still able to return to loader by using the command when it freezes.

Edit: After some testing it seems the issue only happens when you turn on widescreen. the Freezes dont happen with it off.

it has been reported before luigi mansion cant have surround sound and widescreen at the same time or something along those lines.

version 2.235 is up

-Fixed lack of responsiveness on HID controllers. This fixes the problem several of you were having trying to dash dance with the gamecube adapter for wii u

aaand I do it completely different hehe, guess we worked on the same:
-changed up HID reading to not rely on a timer anymore, this way it should run more precise

Try to avoid shrinking ISO images if you can, games tend to freak out if you do. Nintendont, heck, many ISO loaders can flip out about games being shrunken. Try the regular 1.35 GB size if you can.

So I tried Luigi's Mansion PAL without any ISO shrinking whatsoever, and I'm still getting random crashes. If there's a way to do a crash dump or anything like that I'd be happy to learn how to do that and upload it!

Other variables: Using a Wii U Pro Controller, forcing NTSC, using an emulated memory card on my Wii U, 32 GB SD Card by Sony.

Hmm... With v2.236 Luigi's Mansion PAL doesn't load anymore. Instead of the Nintendo Logo, it hangs at a black screen and you have to hard-reset the system.

My other games are loading fine, I'll keep stress testing other games with this new version!

Hmm... With v2.236 Luigi's Mansion PAL doesn't load anymore. Instead of the Nintendo Logo, it hangs at a black screen and you have to hard-reset the system.

My other games are loading fine, I'll keep stress testing other games with this new version!

So the ntsc version is affected too. I guess something is still not properly corrected since previous fix. I haven't tested myself until tonight.

I don't think this could be related, I always been playing with widescreen. the latest fully working version for me is 2.225 after it crashed on nintendo logo, then it was fixed, but this happened. my guess is something still related to iso read code.

Whatever, I will give it a try once again without widecreen patch enabled and post its log if it happen to crash again :)

also, in nintendont loader, firmware jumped to 0.13.37, is this normal?

  • Luigi's Mansion PAL: Semi-Works
    • Memcard Emu causes hard crash.
  • Mario Kart Double Dash!!: Works!
    • Widescreen and Memcard Emu.
  • Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door: Works!
    • Widescreen and Memcard Emu.
  • Super Mario Sunshine: Works!
    • Widescreen and Memcard Emu.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants The Movie: Works!

    • Widescreen patch has no effect
    • Previously froze while creating a save file, but I failed to duplicate this problem.
Animal Crossing, Paper Mario & Melee have some widescreen issues, but the bulk of the game is done properly.

Animal Crossing: Black Circle effect when entering/exiting places is 4:3
Paper Mario: Cinema Borders are 4:3
Melee: Some effects are in 4:3 (Example: Screen flashing white when taking a hard hit)
