Animal Crossing question - had a quick nosey for an answer but the topic is a little on the large side these days! - I've grabbed the NTSC version of this game for Progressive but am obviously running on a PAL Wii U machine if it makes a difference.... Anyway, can't format memory card as that sodding howling dog (you can correctly assume the game isn't being played by me, it's for my youngest! ) says the memory card is from a different region.... Will I need to use the PAL version or have I got a setting buggered up?

change your memory card settings in the Nintendont settings (when you see your list of games click b) Turn multi memory card OFF. It will now create a memory card that is ONLY for animal crossing

Cheers! I did try changing the size from the initial 251 (?) blocks to 59 (?), but didn't mess with the multi memory setting - thanks for the quick reply, will have a do on it later! B-)

Wow is all I have to say. I've struggled with Dios Mios for the longest time trying all kinds of different solutions with no avail. Come across this and 5 minutes later I'm up and running with no issues. Pay no mind to the inconsiderate ones on here, I really appreciate all the work everyone has put into this. My wii is no longer collecting dust. Registered just to say thanks.

Maybe it's a bit too late? FIX could have done this before he even considered releasing his code to the public.

Ok. about the donating , most people here know FIX94 as a dev for Wiiflow, there is a donate button on his wiiflow google code page.
Even if people don't know about that, they can say HEY FIX (or any other dev. who worked on this) i really like this, how can I donate, but noooo..that is not happening,

So to me this is a lame response period.
And if you say, why don't the devs. advertise more about donating..well you can probably guess that they doing it mostly because they enjoy coding.

PS: Asking for money before you bring out anything is not really in "open source" spirit.
PS2: How can anyone like this post :(

This is the final thing i am going to say about it because it is really off topic and not the right place, if you guys want to discuss this any further, open a new thread for it.

Try ZL+R and see what happens.
You do realize that the big buttons labled ZL and ZR on the bottom of the classic controllre pro are L and R just jike on a ganecube controller. also the little buttons labled L and R on the top of the classic controllre pro are ZL and ZR just jike on a ganecube controller. (Actual gamecube controllers dont have a ZL button) It sounds like you are reversing the buttons function and its label.

Question! Will this adapter: http://www.mayflash.com/Products/NINTENDOWiiU/W007.html Work with the DK Bongo controllers connected to it? The Donkey Konga/Kong Jungle Beat games are among the few things that are keeping my old Wii plugged in, instead of solely using the Wii U for everything. And if it does indeed work, then I will be purchasing myself one or two of those adapters.
The bongos wont work through that adapter.at this time. the game needs to detect if it is being controlled by a gamecube controller or the bongos. currently everything that comes in through the bluetooth port is made to look like a gamecube controller.

Regarding my recent issue with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat all we have determined is I cant get the game to work with the bongos and when the bongo support was developed in nintendont it was not tested with that game.

I'm having issues making my Wii Controller Pro work with Nintendont, any suggestions? The Wiimote is paired with the console and it works fine everywhere but Nintendont. I start up a game, the wiimote led moves to 4 (instead of 1) and the controller just doesn't work, am I missing something?

I'm using a chinese Wii Motion Plus w/ a chinese Wii Classic Controller Pro.

you must reconnect the classic controller pro

I already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the controller to the wiimote but things still won't work... Just to make things clear, I'm using Nintendont as a boot.dol, I followed the guide and I didn't copy any controller.ini file as it isn't needed (it's needed for USB controller only, right?). Could it be that I am missing something? :(

its probably your 3rd party chinese controllers arent compatible with nintendont detection then.

Hey guys, I just uploaded a ninmem.raw that has several files, but the one important is the Pokemon XD save file.
Try using this save and report any issues after the starting cutscene to see what other issues we can find.

Guys, i have some problems with Memory Card, (powering off the Wii when init Card in Nintendont) anyway, can anyone upload a ninmem with nothing inside?

I was confused about that, thanks.
So it would seem that L/zL and R/zR are swapped on my CCP.
All of the controls are still there and working, so I am stumped as to why holding L has no effect.
Can anyone recommend a good button testing app?
Button TesterWii appears to not work with the CCP.
Anyway, thanks for all your help.

i already know where pokemon XD freezes after, it freezes when you reach the cutscene where your on a harbor town any cutscene that ends in battle will freeze like the intro one and the harbor city one and so on.

Oh good to know.
So AFAIK that issue is similar to the one encountered in Paper Mario, where entering a battle made the game freeze, right?

So what is it about Pokemon XD that is so tricky to get, i.e is there some kind of crazy anti-piracy protection in the game or something?

Beats me.
Both Pokemon games are tricky.
one with the cutscenes end freeze, which according to Pedro is the transition from cutscene to battle that makes the game freeze.
And Colosseum has no Memory Card detection so far.

Which makes me wonder... Is there any other game so far that doesn't detect a memory card besides Pokemon Colosseum?

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3? Maybe it was a fluke, but it wouldn't create the memory card file for some reason, at least, when I tried.
