I wanna get a Gateway flashcard for a new 3DSXL Should I wait for them to update before getting a 3ds?
Another question about version firmware. If I do get a new 3dsxl? Do I need to update it?

It's your call on whether you want to wait for N3DS support from Gateway or not. It's definitely coming, but nobody knows when exactly.

If you get an N3DS, do not update its firmware. Every region you can buy it from now has 8.1 - 9.0, I believe, and you want to be on firmware 9.2 or lower. The newest release from Nintendo is 9.4, and that update is not compatible with Gateway.

If you get a new 3DSXL and want to use a gateway card you should not update it.

Get the DS set up the gateway card, backup your NAND, install emunand and then and only then, update your emunand (And do this carefully :D)

Okay Thanks . I guess I would order a gateway and hold it first as the shipping might take awhile :/

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
