Few questions on patching it. I have PPF-O-Matic, but for the "ISO File" field should I select the main.dol I extracted? Since, after I do that I can't replace the main.dol. Should I just do an alt-dol method? I believe I have an unscrubbed NTSCU version of the game.

any update for dvd playing with cIOS rev 14 and Neogamma 7 ?

What update are you expecting? As mentioned a few times now, using the latest "Proper" patch on the QWiiF iso works with cIOS r14 and Neogamma 7 from DVD. The first post of this thread even seems to now include links and docs on how to do it yourself if you don't have the 'Proper' patch from other sources.

I patched my scrubbed ISO using the "new fix".. and I'm getting a disc reading error message.

The readme says I need IOS53 v5149 at least. Dip-IOS MOD tells me I have IOS53 v5406. Should that work?
Using D2CKey btw.

For those with Drivekey hardmod:

NSMBW won´t run with it. Trying to run NSMBW with uloader 3.1 after softmodding your wii doesn´t work either, softmod/hardmod conflict.
To work around this you have to disable the Drivekey. (press eject 3 times to get to the Drivekey menu, then hold reset to disable)

The game will then run fine with uloader 3.1 and ios249.

@ CockroachMan - I haven't had any luck with the new mod and Dop-IOS. It seems you need IOS53 with the cIOS 249 rev14 DIP. I installed the IOS53 from cIOScorp and all was good.

I need help. I have a d2Pro chipped Wii without any softmods, running 4.2U. I have always been able to just direct load games from the Disc Channel. NSMBW of course has made that not happen. I have successfully installed HBC, but have no idea how or what to do next to get this game working. Can anyone give some advice? Thanks!

okay i'm not ever gonna get this backup to play
so in meantime i'll play my store bought original

need update for wiikey v1 please or a way to play with this modchip

so anyways i don't wanna waste my time softmodding worrying about brick or future updates ruining my wii

but i have an answer for all those questions on how to patch your version
even though i can't use it

step by step here we go :

Open Wii-iND Fix folder, there are 2 ind-nsmbw archives but in reality there is only 1 split in 2
Right click on one of them and select extract to ind-nsmbw\
Open the new created ind-nsmbw folder, right click ImageDiff archive and extract to ImageDiff\
open ImageDiff folder and double click on the ImageDiffGUI to start the application

Stay on the Patch Image tab
Under Patch, click browse to locate the patch (qf-nsmbw.iso.ImageDiff)
Under Foreign image, click browse for the un-touched QwiiF iso
Under New Image, click browse to select the place/name for the new fixed iso (Don't forget to name it .iso)

Ok i have a NTSC wii with cIOSCORP, i downloaded a NSTC version of NSMB Wii, i installed IOS53-64-v5149.wad. but i get " a error as occured " when i try to launch it

I'm assuming that's an unmodified IOS53, right?
When you installed IOS53-64-v5149.wad, you "uncorped" IOS53. Reinstall the cIOS53 from the cIOSCORP v3.5 package.

And make sure you patch your NSMB with vki's patch beforehand. (the nsmbxy patch)

If no one is willing to trucha sysmenu ISO 60/70 and has preloader you can also set sysmenu IOS to 249 which will allow other channels to then load properly

So.. it turned out that my DVD was faulty. Burned another one and it worked

Oh well.. played for an hour and the game is awesome

apply the patch to the main.dol then replace the main.dol using wii scrubber with the one you just patched

Get DOP-IOS Mod and install IOS53 and your system menu IOS (IOS30 for 3.2-3.4, IOS60 for 4.0 and 4.1 and IOS70 for 4.2). When you install them, it will ask you if you want to apply the signature hash check to them. Say yes here, that's the so called "trucha bug".
