Hacking New DSi update mysterious

Well, I have an European DSi and I can confirm there's an update. If you choose accept, it takes 30-45 seconds and then is says it's ready. The version number is the same and I can't find things that are updated, also no updates in the Shop.

I think I've already confirmed it in the first post.

the only difference I can find after the update, was that the dsi shop is faster and the browser and the other games also boot a bit faster.

To check if there is a update you go to DSiware store than go to WarioWare Snapped and see if it says Update? Cause it says on mine Downloaded.

It sounds like they spotted a security flaw and moved to patch it fast.

Also, it could just be a simple fix to the update module that always makes you start an update without even checking your current version.
Anyone want to check that?

Attempting to update DSiWare through the store always produces an error for me.

Updated my JPN DSi system, nothing to see what should be new, flashcards still work fine.

Maybe the update installs a trojan that sends info to Big N, who knows, or it just patches a little flaw in the system.

Perhaps it is similar to the Wii's 4.1 update... Only fixing one glitch... (the WiiSports Resort/SD Card Menu bug)

If there was no update, the DSi would behave differently.

There is an update, your dsi updates, when you try again you get a notice you already have latest update.
So if there was no update, you should have gotten the notice and nothing would have happened.

So I take it that Nintendo does not have an official listing of what their DSi updates do? I haven't been able to find them. Valentines Day easter egg for certain wares?
