Apparently, it has just been announced that Neversoft will now be helping with the development of the Call of Duty franchise. Activision hasn't given specifics yet, so they could be working on a new installment all together, or be providing supporting content like DLC or fixes to the games engine.

Neversoft has been looking for some new employees over the past year, with postings looking for people willing to help develop a First Person Shooter title. One of the key listing was looking for someone with experience working with PC's, and with a strong understanding of Steam distribution and security.

I'd greatly enjoy another company making Call of Duty games, even if the other two keep at it. Doing so would increase the production time for everyone while still keeping CoD's yearly cycle.

Seems like an odd pairing for them to take on COD.
How about they go back and make a proper Tony Hawk game for current gen?
That skateboard controller was garbage.
Tried it out and was over it within 30 minutes.
Maybe they could take the cod engine and do something creative with it though.
Skateboards and guns...hmmm :)

They normally have a different developer make the portable versions.

Maybe Neversoft is working on a 3DS or Vita version.

Personally, I'm not interested in whatever their doing, but just a though.

Yeah, I poked around and found it via your 1st link.
Was hoping it would be a proper tony hawk 5 or something.
As well as I liked 1 and 2, I'll pass. I'll wait for the next proper Tony Hawk release that actually advances the franchise.
Guess I'll just wait and see what craziness they have planned for cod for now.

If it's "Shootan on Skateboards!!!" I might just have to check it out.
If they don't make it, I will.
The already did but I could not find a better video.

Proper Tony Hawk title.... I thought we had the Skate series for that. Granted I would take a throwback to the 2, 3 and maybe 4 era.

As for the matter at hand consider my interest piqued as Neversoft at their best seemed to get it unlike most of COD which is highly functional but little I can be bothered to remember. Also "steam security".... fortunately laughing would make my headache worse so I am inclined to avoid it else I would be laughing all day.
