Strange that many people had the problem with Eternal Darkness first screen Egdar Allan Poe...

Maybe we can try solving that with someone who had the same problem, trying to see what really is the problem, version wii (mine is 4.2U with LU36), or chipmodded, softmodded, fstfix, retail or backup...

I never found retail discs, I just have downloaded from many sites and all freezes on that screen, for me, cannot be the ISO, maybe my chip is doing that?!?!?!

Have to be a solution for that. Maybe one day I'll find it

I have it as retail disc and last time i tested it worked. I also have it as backup which also worked. When NeoGamma runs a GC backup it patches the "play audio stream" commands of the games to do nothing, but the games think it works. Which is why it works on backups even if the streaming doesn't work. If fstfix messes up the .iso somehow(it's possible!), well a 1:1 backup should always work best.

Modchip users are the group of users that have the most issues with NeoGamma when playing gamecube games. That's because it's using the retail disc code, and that means the chip has to work 100%(same as for disc channel + regular MIOS installed).

beta47 should be coming soon too. I made a small mistake with the fix for Agent under Fire, now it runs with the fix + forced reloader, but i wanted the fix + fast reloader. The loading speed difference should be noticable, it will be just as fast as before with beta 47.

Is there still no way to get Wii games that reload their own IOS, such as Splinter Cell, to boot from USB? Just wondering, because a while ago, I saw a video of GC games being loaded from USB, something that was thought to be impossible too.

The GC thing was Crediar doing his magic, and you can get his magic for wii games(sneek+DI) already, which is able to do what you are asking for. Oh and it's not a problem of having the game to load the desired IOS, it's a matter of getting the usb stuff started again.

Maybe, someone can made a video tutorial, where DOWNLOAD correctly IOS, MIOS, cIOS, cMIOS, for play GC games and WII games using NEOGAMMA,

not just "where" to download but HOW to install it (wad/network)

Not ALL IOS, MIOS, cIOS, cMIOS, just the necessary to play "all" games using correctly NEOGAMMA

Only 1 cIOS and 1 cMIOS is relevant. And to know if you installed them correctly is easy, NeoGamma tells you which cIOS it uses and when the cMIOS installer doesn't throw an error and lets you exit regulary, the cMIOS is installed.

Not really, as i don't expect it to work correctly for lots of games. If i hear one complaint about it not working for whatever game, or just whatever complaint, i will disable it again.

Thanks for the answer, I will test all my gc backups now.

WiiPower, I just want to say thank you.
I'm often amazed at your patience, and always grateful for the work you do on neogamma.
I just thought it worth mentioning that not everyone is either ungrateful, a moron, or a muppet and many of us really appreciate the work you continue to put into this.
Thank you

im very psyched that my backups of XIII and CellDamage are working now, thanks to your streaming audio fix=)

Do you need to set the audio fix to yes for those 2 games? It's the first time i get any report about them, so some details would be really nice.

From the compatiblity list about XIII:
QUOTETested with WiiGator's Backup Launcher 0.2 - Game Loads and will play if you press "start" at the Backup launcher load screen. The first mission will start but Wii restarts itself after the flashback scene.

So that flashback scene(and the rest of the game) works correctly now? What settings?

Or are you a modchip user?

I just installed this and I'm getting lots and lots of DSI exceptions.

First I just used the MIOS installer "miospatcher", then ran neogamma with a burned DVD-R with Sonic Heroes (inb4hate) on it. DSI error. Then I tried again. Same thing. Then I used the installer in the OP to get MIOSv10... same error. I don't know what's going on. What should I do? Is there a troubleshooting path to take? I'd rather not burn another disk for testing purposes... just FYI, it was a normal PAL Sonic Heroes .GCM from wiiso burned onto DVD-R from an iMac, in case that matters. Basically, I'm just not sure what to do at this point. Perhaps also worth mentioning is that I didn't reinstall any CIOS, because I already installed other ones for the slots mentioned to get the configurable USB loader working.

Anyone have any tips on how I should troublsehoot this? Things I should try out? Did I make some common beginners mistake? I don't have an actual gamecube disk handy to test. I am running on a PAL wii, version 4.0E. The DSI exception occurs when it starts launching the game, and then it flashes something on the screen about partitions and boom, DSI error.

Sorry i need more details. What cIOS does your NeoGamma use? And what exactly do you get before the exception?

cIOS249_rev17_Installer
cIOS222_v4_Installer
Those were the installers I was using to install CIOS (I was following a guide to get config.usb loader up and running), I'm assuming Neogamma is running on those (not sure; is there some setting I should be fucking around with?). Beyond that, I'm not sure... And as far as what I got before the exception, basically I selected "load from disk", pressed A, it said "loading", and then right as it said something to do with partitions (that's the only word I was able to read), it gives me the exception.
