Hello guys, I rescued my old Wii U with Homebrew.
I had no problems by installing Wii U games in an external HDD to play in my Wii U Emunand (I can't remember which CFW I'm using, to play I go to an app named "HAXCHI" and then something named "Mocha" loads"). I can play all these Wii U games.

Well, I wanted to play Wii games (I don't want to use vWii nor have another HDD just for it) so I found that by using TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector I can convert my Wii ISOs in to an installable file for the Wii U.

Cool, I managed to convert a lot of games and successfully install them, but I can't play any Wii game. When I load the game, a message pops saying that I have to select an option with my Wii-mote, when I do that, the game "loads" but it crashes automatically.

I was thinking that probably I mess something while converting the games, so I just decided to download some Wii games from WiiUSB Helper. The same thing happens, I can't play.
Also I can't use vWii from my EmuNAND, dunno if I bricked it or was always unplayable.

Can anyone help me? I just want everything in the same HDD.
Thank you so much and my apologies for my English, I know that it hurts hard.

EDIT: I fixed it, I was using an old CFW setup (RedNAND on Mocha CFW + Haxchi), I just removed the RedNAND (and using just Haxchi) and everything is working

Well, it's a normal Wii game converted to be installed to the Wii U, according to the WiiU VC Inject compatibility list, the games that I'm trying to run are compatible.
What file format are they? WBFS or iso and which region are the game and WiiU? What do you mean by crashes exactly and what type of storage/hard drive are you using?

I'm using ISO format games and converting them using TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector (using Wii Retail Injection option, not adding any extra options and using the correct "keys").

My Wii U console is from Europe, and all the games that I'm trying to install are PAL version and they are compatible.

So I install the game in my external HDD (hard disk), with Wii U games I have no problems, I can play all my Wii U games installed.
I run Haxchi, Mocha loads.
I try to run the Wii game.
The console reboots, I can't play any Wii game installed.

Note: I don't want to play them in vWii, I want to have all my games stored in the same place (Wii and Wii U games together in the same USB).

I'm not a Mocha user but I think you need to have games on SD for that (?) Try using WUPInstallerGX 2 to install the finished game to your hard drive. If it's a retail game (no DLC or eShop games) it will load without running Haxchi first. I highly recommend CBHC over Mocha as well. Also, I recommend using "Wii Backup Manager" to extract your ISO to WBFS format first before creating with TeconMoons app. When I get a hard crash like you're getting it's always because of the game file being corrupt or game file related. Also you shouldn't need to modify any settings in TeconMoons unless absolutely necessary.

Thank you for the tips sir, I finally managed to fix it. The problem was that I was trying to run the Wii Games in a RedNAND.
I have no problems now but I will save the Wii Backup Manager in case that something goes wrong.

Have a nice day and thank you for your time!

I mean built in sound on mobo's has gotten way better but still XP handled sound better and X-Fi was still better than onboard audio even to this day

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

Oh boy Massdrop has $1100 IEMs. Want, but not at that price lmao. https://drop.com/buy/campfire-audio-andromeda-emerald-sea-iem

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device

Two good videos from ElectroBOOM that touch on the subject:
