Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

I was reading GoNintendo, until I came across this:

Supposedly, it's EA's E3 booth.

I mean I enjoyed the Need For Speed franchise pretty much, until NFS decided to do some street racing stuffs since Carbon, and I feel that Hot Pursuit/Hot Pursuit 2 were few of the titles in the series I enjoyed the most (Ok, maybe Underground 2 also, but I just love Police

)

So what are your thoughts? I personally think that perhaps Hot Pursuit would revive NFS of their racing franchise.

After all, they need to combat Burnout and Midnight Club right?

@YayMii: It could be a kind of "reboot" to the Hot Pursuit series.

Anyways I only every remember watching my friend play Hot Pursuit 2 when I was 7 it looked more like an action packed NFS that you wouldn't stop moving in because you were always in a race or getting hunted down my cops. Allot of Street Racing NFS' have used the element from Hot Pursuit in a dumbed-down fashion.

Probably the same reason why the fourth Prince of Persia wasn't called Prince of Persia 4.

I loved Hot Pursuit / 2, and High Stakes. Then came the others. >.>
