Ok last test before a final release:

This is in a friend's computer with lower specs, writing directly in the microSD card:
(different regional settings, in case you wonder about the "," instead of "." in the log info, it's not a fake)

Roms: 3x128 MB, 1x64 MB

Oh well. I'll get a 2gb instead. Thats definately enough, lol.

I just cant get over how small they are! That little thing can hold so much!

I only have a 1gb at themoment, do you think i need a two gb?

It all depends on your preferences. There's loads of homebrew for the DS not just games. I recently got a 2GB so I could fit my NDS/GBA/GBC/SNES/NES roms on it.

Wow, thats incredibly quick if its writing directly to the card.
