I wonder if this will be as good (or maybe even better?) than Meteos and Lumines. Good way to pay respect to the guy that made the Game Boy and Wonderswan by naming a game after him.

Well, he helped develop the Wonderswan system, but he died before it came out. He also created this game for the Wonderswan. So, no, he didn't have anything to do with the DS version except for the original concept.

i can't imagine there's too much localization for a puzzle game

I found this game to be pretty boring...not something I would recommend, and I'm a puzzle game fanatic.
