Just be glad that no one mentioned the horrible dubbing 4Kids did for One Piece or Naruto.

Take Sanji from One Piece for example, in the 4Kids dub, he sounds like a mentally retarded person with cotton balls in his mouth. Either that, someone who had a little too much alcohol.

Zoro, Luffy, etc. all sound horrible. And I thought the English voices in Pokemon were bad.

In the Naruto crap dub, Naruto always yells "Believe it!" when there's clearly no way to translate
??????!?(datte ba yo) as it has no real meaning, aside from adding a lot of emphasis to the statement in question.

That's the fine line between the anime here and in Japan; Japan puts effort into their voice acting, whereas here they hire anyone random person, who usually suck in comparison.
Who watches anime in Dub anyway?

The only anime whose dub was good was Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin)

I find the One piece anime quite good, down to the VA's, especially Zoro's.
Baccano dubbed was purely amazing.

I can name a lot of great dubbed anime: Dragon Ball Z, One Piece (Funi Dubbed), XXXHolic, Ouran High School Host Club, Yu Yu Hakusho... the list goes on.

Baccano's dub is great, it's one of those anime that you must watch the dub. That and Hetalia: Axis Powers.

Funimation dubs are infinitely better than the abortive 4Kids ones; no wonder they filed for bankruptcy. Even then, a lot of the voice actors are people no one ever heard of, the only notable exception are Studio Ghibli, as they hire real actors. But Naruto and One Piece are better in Japanese IMHO, but that may be due to the fact that I have a pretty grasp on the language.

The other thing is why can't they translate the title theme songs in English, instead of creating new, unfitting songs (*cough* Digimon series 1-3, Dragonball Z *cough*) that often suck? Sorry, I had something caught in my throat.

Another issue is unnecessary censorship, such changing Yen to Dollars, making bomb-tossing enemies throw oranges instead, or the best one, a digimon who kidnaps a child and forces her to make milkshakes (edited from making sake into shakes). Some things are better left the way they were. But theme songs are the worst offender.

I could go on and on, but I won't. I digress, not ALL dubbing sucks.

Are you kidding me? The dubbed music of Dragon Ball Z definitely fit the show. Just because it's different doesn't mean one should dismiss it.
