Seems like someone didnt get the concept....Emunand is meh.... if it’s a copy of your sysnand then how is it gonna save you from a ban.
?I don´t know if we are going to need emunand because there aren´t many reasons to use it right now
Because whit a emunand you use the emunand offline whit hacky stuff and the sysnand clean and online.Emunand is meh.... if it’s a copy of your sysnand then how is it gonna save you from a ban.
Great reason?
People on 1.0.0 or 2.0.0 want to play the newer games without updating
I don't know where all these thoughts of trolling originate. It isn't April first so....Hes the dev behind Hekate, hes not trolling

Being skeptical is one thing. But assuming malicious intent from a trusted name is outlandish.
You don't seem to know what you're talking about, an Emulated Nand storage uses the exact same crypto and exact same console unique files. It is as is an exact copy of the data on the actual nand chip, a ban on either of those "Nands" would make Online services unusable on the console no matter if you boot from the internal emmc or the sdcard.Because whit a emunand you use the emunand offline whit hacky stuff and the sysnand clean and online.
Even if you stay offline whit the sysnand, when doing hacky stuff there are internal reports that may or may not be sended to nintendo, we don't know, but whit a emunand, those reports remain in the emunand so the sysnand remain clean and pristine to go online, as long as you remain offline the emunand
You don't seem to get what im saying, maybe i oversimplified,You don't seem to know what you're talking about, an Emulated Nand storage uses the exact same crypto and exact same console unique files. You're wrong. You don't seem to get what im saying, maybe i oversimplified,
A emunand is a isolated memory from the sysnand, is like having 2 memorys, while they share the same crypto, once the emunand is created they store the reports, the data, etc isolated one from the other, this way you can do dirty stuff in one and keep clean the other, this indeed isolates what happens in the emunand to the sysnand, so if you add to that isolation, the isolation from internet by remainin offline or whitelisted while in emunand, what you do in emunand never reaches neither your sysnand nor nintendo servers, this way when you boot to the sysnand, nothing of what happened on the emunand is on the sysnand, and nothing from the emunand had reached nintendo(sience offline emunand), and if you keep the sysnand clean, then you can go online whit the sysnand whitout risk of ban.
In a weird way is like having 2 N switchs, one for online and other for hacking, but in only 1 device, whit the difference that a ban on one of those 2 "switchs" whould affect both sience are the same, but if you keep the "hacky switch"(emunand) in a net isolated envoirment(keep offline all the time or whitlisted) then that hacky "switch"(emunand) would never be baned sience nintendo would never know, and the clean "switch"(sysnand) as long as you remain it clean, would remain, well, clean, and okay for online.
As long as you don't do idiotic stuff like going online whit the hacky nand or hacking in the clean nand, you should remain okay.
whit the difference that a ban on one of those 2 "switchs" whould affect both sience are the sameYou're wrong.
You may have two different FW versions in each nand, but the unique data of the NAND is shared between sys and emu.
If one gets banned, ergo the other does.
Having emunand won't save you from a console specific ban.
Oh sorry I was gonna quote the the other post above that one.whit the difference that a ban on one of those 2 "switchs" whould affect both sience are the same
im not wrong, read another time
except you need a low FW to run emunand and you will not be able to play any games on a low sysnand anyways unless it is patched to run games with higher FW requirementsBecause whit a emunand you use the emunand offline whit hacky stuff and the sysnand clean and online.
Even if you stay offline whit the sysnand, when doing hacky stuff there are internal reports that may or may not be sended to nintendo, we don't know, but whit a emunand, those reports remain in the emunand so the sysnand remain clean and pristine to go online, as long as you remain offline the emunand
except you need a low FW to run emunand and you will not be able to play any games ona loew sysand anyways unless it is patched to run games with higher FW requirements
the only benefit is that you can stay on low sysnand FW to use teatherless warmboot exploits and not need a dongle /phone /PC and RCM jig
and preserve low FW for possible future coldboot exploit
Those are 2 different ways of using a emunand, one is for keep a not updated sysnand, other is as a extra protection from banexcept you need a low FW to run emunand and you will not be able to play any games ona loew sysand anyways unless it is patched to run games with higher FW requirements
the only benefit is that you can stay on low sysnand FW to use teatherless exploits and not need a dongle /phone /PC and RCM jig
