Hacking N3DS XL Firmware by version number

You will have a smaller 9.2 firmware?

That is the UPC code. You need the code on the side of the box, looks like QW###########

Just got back from Gamestop with a N3DS with firmware 9.4.0-21U
Serial number is QW103748 which unfortunately doesn't match up with what's been reported so far.

Serial number is QW103748 which unfortunately doesn't match up with what's been reported so far.

Is there a 3D video on the home menu? If not, it's been updated.

1037 is still very close to reported 9.4s. Maybe 10372xxxx was 9.0 and 10374xxxx is 9.4

indeed, not much I can do about that, this is basically just a list of compiled reports

I've gone through 5 different retailers (in the span of just 2 hours lol)
Game, 2X Argos, Currys, and Tesco.

All 5 stores had units with v9.4..... I already have the MM edition but it's got a shitty C-stick and if I send it back to Nintendo, they're just going to update it.

I'm screwed for now, unless I get a SKY3DS I guess.

If your MM is 9.2, you could backup the nand first with gateway's launcher and have it hardmodded after Nintendo fixes the C-stick.

Sorry, already returned it so I can't tell you guys. Managed to grab a new 9.0.0 QW4019 at another GameStop. FWIW, anyone from Boston can find about 20 of these units in Downtown Crossing.

On the list I see 1038/1039 listed as having 9.4.

why dont you get one from America... there are loads of 9.0s at my Walmart..

No, it's impossible to update to 9.4 with internet now, and if it was a game update the firmware would have been 9.4.0-20E and not 9.4.0-21E
