Hacking [n00b question] Do 3.55 PS3 Slims have any advantage over 4.81 PS3 Super Slims?

3.55 slim. You install CFW and upgrade to the latest 4.81CFW. You can play all games, dlc, ps1 ps2 (even if it’s not the 60gb model) psp and mini games.) games all play from HDD or over network.

So anyone that wants CFW should look for a PS3 that's able to downgrade to 3.55 (all phats and the early/old Slims can do that).
I'm still hoping that some form of CFW will be released for Super Slim since I don't want to risk another YLoD (and because where I can find them they're really cheap)

any slim model came above 3.55 can't be downgraded, even with E3 flasher.

Well, you can't take the disc out the system without first turning the system on. Super slim with the draw slider instead of vacuum doesn't need any power to do that. Is that considered a disadvantage?

well at least like 75% of PS3 slims are downgradable

Every application is black screen when I start even after formatting.

The hack allows downgrading. Technically, you could install whatever FW you choose. This includes a 4.81 CFW.

Superslim will recieve some love for once.

My slim is a 3001 model. I suppose I'm screwed. To bad I gave one of my friends my fat 80gb ps3. I was afraid of it YLOD on me. Happened with two of my other fats.
