Hey guys...

I'm just wondering...

Is there an alternate media player for R4 besides Moonshell?
I dont mean something like LMP NG, I mean something that you can load from the R4 main menu ( Where it says "Games", "Media" and "GBA Loader".

Moonshell kind of looks lame to me now...

I saw somewhere that you can use M3 Sakura as a replacement for the media player on the R4...

Is it true? And if it is, can someone please tell me how to make it work?

Seriously?

I tried it and did everything the guy stated in his description but when I hit the Media button on my R4's menu, it loaded Sakura a bit but then it said something like " the Drive is too full or too small...Access Terminated".

Can someone tell me what I did wrong or give a step by step explanation on how to do it?

Thanks.

Just use Moonshell 2 beta 5. It is produced by the same guy that made the M3 Sakura firmware. The M3 Sakura is made for the M3 and for games and such, while Moonshell is a dedicated media player. They both look exactly alike, feel exactly alike, but only like a few unnoticeable things are different from Sakura and Moonshell2. Also, Moonshell has English translations, while M3 Sakura doesn't.

Just go to the download section of gbatemp and look for it. There is a readme file that comes with the download and it tells you how to install it.

idk what you did wrong but what i did was i DIDNT get rid of my old system folder and added the m3 sakura folder in and i put just the _DS_MSHL.NDS file in it. that should replace moonshell with sakura. everything will be normal except for multimedia being sakura instead of moonshell =D hope that helps and solves your problem. also maybe get rid of a few files that you dont need or if that STILL doesnt work, i have 3 4gb sdhc micros, 1 for games and 1 for music and videos, maybe try a seperate micro =D

P.S. PM me your results =D

With AutoRCM and hekate.bin copied to "reboot to payload", I have not used my jig or had to push payload in forever, since last time I updated FW.

@BigOnYa AutoRCM here too with hekate as reboot to payload. Only time I need to push a payload is going from sysMMC back to emuMMC. But its just plug it into my phone and a second later I'm all set. I have all of my games with online features on sysMMC. Like Mario Kart, Mario Party games, etc.

i think you just need to turn framebuffer emulation off in rice video and it fixes the slowdown

An app exists for Android called Rekado which is a payload injector for the RCM exploit to work. Don't know if it's still active.
