I only enable Region Free Wii Games and Region Free GC games.
with those settings, can I play japanese games? or I also have to enable Force disc games to run under IOS249 and Force dic region to wii region?

I've also downloaded NeoGamma and i put the folder on the app folder but what do I do with the sourcecode folder?

you dont need the Force disc games to run under IOS249 and force disc region code.
the ones you have are fine.

you dont need the source code folder.
just the .dol placed in a folder in the apps folder, and it should up on hbc.

Hello everybody,

Well, HBC 1.0.5 is out and I need to know if my setup is safe to be updated.
I have SysMenu 4.1, HBC 1.0.3, BootMii in IOS and Preloader .29. Is it safe to update HBC to 1.0.5 by using HackMii installer? I'm asking because I read a lot of 'bad' things about preloader and not sure if HackMii may be disturbed by this preloader or the system may be bricked after update is performed because of preloader.

Thanks.

hackmii installer has nothing to with preloader.

so yes its safe to update HBC and bootmii.

oi! fantastic guide! My Wii is saved from being mundane!

Unfortunately, I have a few noob questions for ya:

1) after following all of the steps for version 4.2, do I need to always make sure the SD card is in my Wii at startup?
2) which files (if any) do I need to keep on the SD card now that I'm done installing everything?
3) I did use NAND backup and it is indeed backed up on my computer, now if my Wii bricks, how do I use that to restore everything?

Thank you very much again, this guide is truly idiot-proof!

1) No
2) In theory you can delete everything except the bootmii folder
3) Just use the restore function of bootmii

ok... crap. After using this guide for 4.2, I've got a serious problem: the disc channel is trying to force me to update if i put in a newer game (so far specifically Wii Sports Resort and Tiger 10). I'm assuming it MIGHT have to do with Wii motion plus... anybody else run into this problem? Solutions?

Run it with geckoOs 1.9.2

EDIT:

Nevermind, got it working with the OFFLINE install. Dunno why online method wouldnt work. My Wii is connected to the internet.
