Ya thats what i thought. You think a different version of priiloader .06 is out or is this whats on 42mod.zip i looked but just says its priiloader no version number?

I just purchased a Wii that has a drivekey installed and it is not reading some wii games. It has hb and priloader but I was wondering if I can remod using this guide. Does anyone know if it will stop the drivekey from working. The Wii has the new drive that will not read backups. If I follow this guide can I install darkcorps v1.1?

I went through the last couple pages and didn't find anything...

What happened to the softmod guide?
did you try page 1?
Ya. Didn't see anything...

Found another site: http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/

The complete softmod guide site isn't really affiliated with this thread fyi... We recommend people to mod that way if they want to learn, while this thread (the first post), is all about the simplest and fastest way to mod a wii...

Wasn't sure what Geokilla meant at first either but the soft-mod guide link is broken.

link is working and I'm used this guide for softmod red wii

Dot.Tk, for whatever reason, removed my tk domain.
So you'll need to use the other on (http://www.completesg.tk) or the old URL (https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/)

Maybe I can buy myself a real domain someday

I downloaded this but forgot my homebrew channel was deleted by a nintendo update, so I need to get one of the two games mentioned correct?

I just want to play RE4 again. It worked fine until I updated to play 007, now it always gets a 'disk read error'... Grrr....

Just wanted to say thank you very much for this guide. The first time I modded a Wii was from your guide and I follow it now everytime I mod another one (friends and family). I especially appreciate the time and effort you spend updating this guide on a regular basis.

Thanks again and please keep this running as I am sure there are many, many people like me out there that rely on this for all matters relating to softmodding your Wii console.

Note: The link at the bottom of the guide directing us to information regarding playing backups via a USB Drive is currently broken.

"If you have a very new Wii & it fails to run DVD backups, you may have a drive with the new D3-2 chipset. They are incapable of reading dvd's of any sort. It can still pla games via USB loaders with a hard drive or external USB DVD Drive.

For playing your backups off a USB hard drive, check out the extra setup for USB loading to learn about the different USB loaders & how to set up your Hard Drive correctly to install games."

Is the server just down temporarily? If so are there any other links you can recommend for those who have the new D3-2 chipset and have to play via backups from their USB Drive using a USB loader?

Thanks again!

BUT:
I can still not start COD-Black Ops.

I use "CFG USB LOADER" and an USB hard disk.
The game stays at the loading screen... .

You have to change the options in configurable usb loader to use 224 to launch black ops... Try hitting 1 while highlighting the game to get to the options menu, and then select 224

Ah, must've missed that one. I changed it now.
The page isn't down, it's still at http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/ba...chers/iso/extra
Or use this topic (which is maybe even easier) or one of the many other guides

If you followed this, you probably already have a cIOS though, so you can plug in a FAT32 formatted USB drive in your Wii and dump your games (Or transfer them from a computer with WBM)

Followed all the instructions and everything went well. The only issue I have is that USB Loader GX doesn't see the USB drive connected using the cIOS it's expecting (249 / 222).

I can see that a cIOS has been installed as part of the install process, but how what cIOS was installed and how can I get GX to see the drive?

I also tried installing cIOSX_rev20b using Waninkoko's Installer - that all installed OK but GX still doesn't see the drive. I selected all the defaults on the installation with the exception of the IOS to use - which I used 236.

Any ideas - the drive works perfectly on another Wii.
