I'll try it. Also the error is completely randomAs far as I know, ErrDisp is an error that happens when a module of the console crashes (because damage, glitchin', both, or even an unstable Luma3DS version).
I never heard of a "redgiant" error, but... maybe...
Just to be clear, reinstall the latest Luma3DS version (not commit), and report the results back.
Also, when does this errors happen? How many time passes before the console shows that error?
Completely false, ErrDisp is a module responsable of showing errors that other processes may encounter, in this case, redgiant is the mh4u internal name. OP, could you give more info on when exactly does the error happen? As far as I know, ErrDisp is an error that happens when a module of the console crashes (because damage, glitchin', both, or even an unstable Luma3DS version).

Mmmm… didn't know, sorry for the misinformation.Completely false, ErrDisp is a module responsable of showing errors that other processes may encounter, in this case, redgiant is the mh4u internal name. OP, could you give more info on when exactly does the error happen?
Well I guess it mostly happens near the end of hunts. Right before or right after. Otherwise it's pretty random like if I walk around or I go into my menu. Also right before it happens the music cuts offCompletely false, ErrDisp is a module responsable of showing errors that other processes may encounter, in this case, redgiant is the mh4u internal name. This can be done over ftp right?Try checking for SD card errors: https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows)
I have the game installed on the n3DSXL. If you want someone else to look at the save, provided the backup made from either theSorry for yet another post, but I came up with an idea. Do you think if I uploaded my save here it'd be possible to figure out what is causing the error? I used apm save editor on it only
UPDATE: now it's on a timer when in sunsnug isle? And I do believes it's save corruption as I tested my other saves and this does not occur. Which hopefully means its simply just reverse a thing I've done or replicate what I've done on my main save 1 by 1 on another until I get the error and reverse that on my main.
Here it is. I put the extdata as well just in case. I don't use game patching on mh4u btw. User1 is the save in questionI have the game installed on the n3DSXL. If you want someone else to look at the save, provided the backup made from either thelatestrelatively new Checkpoint or JKSM. Zip the game's save folder and upload here or a host site like 1fichier.com. Copy the removal link if you want to later deleting your archive. If you use luma game patching on MH4U, provide that as well.
This sounds more like a case of SD corruption. Games don't just end up getting corrupt for no reason. I would consider finding a replacement soon if I were you.Update: it worked! Replacing the music did indeed stop the errors. So for anyone having the same issue try uninstalling and reinstalling the game as ur current copy might have corrupted files in it
Well the thing is its the only game that has had the issue and believe me I have like 60+ digital games. Ive modded some of them too and they never had a errorThis sounds more like a case of SD corruption. Games don't just end up getting corrupt for no reason. That kind of implies that there's a bad sector then.Well the thing is its the only game that has had the issue and believe me I have like 60+ digital games. Ive modded some of them too and they never had a error
