For some reason when I follow those steps im just left with empty save files I know I'm doing it right because im able to restore my old save the same way is there something wrong with the files?

Are you sure you're selecting the right folder to import when you're using jksm ?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'll make a save editor, but I need to do more research to have more features.
Awesome! I saw in another thread that someone already got into the amiibo content

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

is it possible to manually edit/use a trainer on a already created save game? I played a couple of hours and would not like to reset everything
I'm not too sure myself...

I seem to be having a stupid. I go to import save, go to profile 1 to import. Says it completes ok. Load the game, no save.
Are you sure you're using the folder in the file on the first post ? You put that folder in the JKSV folder on the ROOT of your SD card

Yup.

JKSV in root, Saves, Metroid_Samus_Returns. I put all 3 profiles there, but only wanted to use profile 1 atm. Each profile has 3 files(common.bmssv, pkprfl.bmssv, samus.bmssv) in it. So I don't know if I need to load a specific file or just the profile? I've never used jksm before so it could just be me being a stup.

You want to place the ONE folder with ALL THREE SAVES into the METROID SAMUS RETURNS in the Saves folder in your JKSV folder on the ROOT

EDIT
the folder you want to place into the JKSV/Saves/Metroid Samus Returns folder is called fusion 3 amiibos etc.
That's the folder you need to place into the Metroid Samus Returns folder

Ah, so Fusion-3 Amiibo folder itself and load that.

Yes that is indeed the one my friend

Hi,

I have the game installed via cia and slot 1 gateway, how do i use the game save.
I have JKmanager installed in 3ds folder homebrew.

I got to this part of the guide:

Load up your save exporter.(I prefer JKSM) but nothing is showing.
I not use this tool before.

Can the save be converted to .sav file ?

I'm not sure how gateway works. I am using Luna and b9s

I got it working, I was in GW mode emunand and then I loaded the CIA rom and then exit game.
Then open JKSM app, and then followed rest of the guide.

Doesn't work when I was using Slot 1 method with GW multi rom selection.
Normal Sav file format needed for this method.

Is it possible to get a version of this save that is compatible with the 3DS Save Dongle? For those that don't know, it's a USB device that you connect to your computer with a DS or 3DS game card inserted into it, and allows you to backup and replace the save data directly to the game card itself.

I'm assuming from the format that the save posted here requires a hacked 3DS to use. Could someone with a Save Dongle post a .sav file dump of this save for those of us who own the Save Dongle and the physical version of the game, but have not hacked their 3DS? Thanks! :)

Is it possible that someone provides a gateway .sav file (eur) of the save of 1st post ?
I tried to build it using JKSM but I didn't succeed

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)

    run h2testw on it

when SD cards/microSD write speeds drop below a meg a sec, they're usually on the verge of dying

Samsung SD format can sometimes fix them too

yes looks like an faulty sd
  • Purple_Heart @ Purple_Heart:
@Psionic Roshambo i may try that with my dead sd cards

@The Real Jdbye, I considered that, but i'll have to wait until i can get the eu version in the mail lol
